Nice blade combo
This set is a well put together set/combo that has a good knife with a gutting hook, and a sturdy hatchet. The blades on both are sharp and the blades feel durable. The sheath that comes with the set make them easy to carry and store away. The blade has a sturdy grip that's textured to prevent slipping, the hatchets grip is textured as well. The set overall is very useful.

Amazing quality for an amazing price
LOVE the upgraded case- I had a set of these I purchased back in 2012 and my trk got stolen so I was replacing them- they used to be in separate cases- now they are on one case - which helps me so I have room for my gun, flashlight and kukri - so it saves space on one holder👍🏼

Great for Field Dressing Deer
Reasons NOT 5 Star: 1) Factory knife edge not great, still after sharpening, it's fine 2) The sheath "works" but not well What is GREAT for...field dressing deer. For this price I really don't think it gets any better... HATCHET: It's a very thin design. When used with a hammer, going through bone is a simple task with a few "easy" knocks. The Handle makes for easy gripping even when wet. THAT being said, I read another review where someone purchased this to chop firewood - THIS IS NOT THE TOOL FOR WOOD CHOPPING. KNIFE: As stated above, the factory edge is OK at best, and it will require sharpening. It seems to hold a decent edge though and with the same handle design of the hatchet, it's easy to hold on to. The gut hook works fine, but it's not perfect. OVERALL: I'm very pleased, I can't complain with it costing me ~$25.

Not my happiest oversight. But I like this compact set so ...
Having years of satisfaction with this combo pack, I lost it to the TSA, forgetting it was in my carry on bag. Not my happiest oversight. But I like this compact set so much, I immediately bought another. Compact, and versatile, they hold an edge. The hatchet is a great kindling tool. And the grips are terrific.

Great Value
Purchased from Amazon in late summer after using a friend's set. Used today to field dress a whitetail buck. Set worked flawlessly. Knife has an excellent edge and the hatchet made short work of splitting hindquarter bone and then splitting the ribcage. Knife and hatchet's cutting edge still sharp after process. Excellent value for money. Just goes to show one doesn't have to pay top dollar to get a good product.

Amazing
I've had this product for about 3 months. It came sharp and has a nice grip. I've owned several different hatchets in the past year and so far this one is the best. it has a cheap price but is a quality make. it has done jobs that all of my previous hatchets couldn't do. It's edge stays sharp to. Hunting with it is great. its light weight and portable. I would defiantly buy it again. No question.

Got to have mine
The gut tip is OK. I have never had one I really liked. The knife is really good. It holds an edge real well. I process my whole deer with it. The skinner is my favorite. I palm the blade to use it. Cracking open sternums with it is easy as pie.

For the price, these are quite good. The knife is just OK and I don't have a use for the gut hook so can't really comment on it. However, the little hatchet is pretty sweet. Actually, I should say up front that the little hatchet is actually more like a cleaver or a camp knife that you'd may baton or chop wood with. It weighs about 465g or about the same as a beefy camp knife such as Schrade's SCHF9 but with all of the weight being at the head, it bites into the wood way better than a knife of a similar length and weight ever could. Yet by holding the hatchet close to its head (and not by the handle) you can perform tasks that require a bit more control like making wood shavings, etc. The axe/hatchet/cleaver comes pretty sharp out of the box as well by the way. This will split logs in a similar way you'd do with a beefier bush/camp knife and is much shorter and easier to carry than smaller hatchets. That said, if you expect to be chopping cords of wood then get a real axe as this is not the best tool for the job. With that in mind, I love this little thing. The handle is grippy yet comfortable. The sheath (perhaps surprisingly) is decent and allows you carry both the knife and the hatchet on your belt in a small package. As I've mentioned above, I don't have a use for the gut hook knife it comes with so what I've actually done is swapped it in the sheath with a Mora Companion heavy duty carbon knife which fits perfectly in its place. The ch200 knife actually fits half-decently into Mora's plastic sheath and makes for a good little backup. I think this combination of Mora with CH100 axe in the sheath is excellent as you can use the hatchet for chopping jobs and extra-sharp Mora for finer tasks. If you want, add a bigger camp knife on your belt your belt opposite to CH629 sheath and you've now just balanced yourself out since they'll weigh about the same :-P This way you can save the edge on your big knife by using the little axe for chopping things and have a convenient way to carry a smaller knife there as well. I have taken off one star here only because I'm not a very big fan of the included knife but I see it almost a "necessary evil" to get this convenient sheath

Great for camping and hiking, not sure how long it would hold up throwing but still enjoyable
