Replacement Battery for Galaxy S5

Works great. Exactly as described! My phone screen is cracked, causing voltage leak, so it chews through the power. My use case for the old phone is for sending wave sounds via Bluetooth to a speaker while he sleeps- same thing every night for my son for 7 years since he was born. I have it plugged into a programmable outlet set to charge it for about 45 minutes 3 times a day. Works like a charm. Someday, I'll retire the old phone; but for now, this battery keeps it going.

Great replacement for a 14 yr old phone that still works great, but the battery quit. New battery works better than I ever remember.

This is what is says it is. For all the "experts" that test it, they apparently do not know how batteries work. WHY do the makers say it takes 3-5 FULL DISCHARGE CYCLES to work right? Here's the answer...it doesn't. Those cycles are only to have YOUR phones power management system somewhat "sync" with the batteries discharge rate. Any stupid app that you load on your phone just reads the already in place power systems, which is only really set for a "stock" battery. So yeah, it may not show 3800 mAh. Nor will the % left per hour reading work exactly right. IF you want to waste time checking it...you compare your stock battery drain vs the new with same load/time. AND YOU MEASURE BY TIME...milli amp HOURS.. hours = time...duh. By the way a LiPo battery will give you its best "service life" if you never let the charge go below 30% and never let it charge above 70%. No one does that..so your full battery life (in cycles) is never achieved, just deal with it. LiPo batteries are amazing, I recommend researching how they work. In short... this is a good battery. The price is great, but I am only getting about a year and a half out of these cheap batteries.

Is it the best battery that I've ever had? Definitely not. But it was priced right and dose what I need it to do. It's in an old phone. I only use the phone to play some games that I can't get anymore. It doesn't last the full day. But I don't need it to. I doubt that I would like it if I was using the phone all day. I was't expecting much when I ordered it but, I'm happy with it in my application.

I've had my S5 since it was new going on 5 or 6 years now. Over the years, I've had 3 batteries, this one being the 4th. The first batteries I just popped in, charged, and used as usual. The charge lasted for several days on standby (I rarely use my phone. It's mostly for emergencies.) When the third started to go, I shopped around for a replacement and found this one. The reviews were overall good. The bad reviews I saw appeared to be related to not charging the battery properly when first installed. I read the instructions carefully then decided to try it. As instructed, I allowed the battery to discharge to 0%, partially recharged, allowed to discharge, etc for 5 or 6 times. I then charged it fully. But the next day, no phone. On standby, the battery drained to nothing. Again, I tried to fully charge. The second time, it stayed on standby for almost two days before being completely drained. The third time, I checked to make certain no background apps were on, but yet again, It drained in under two days. I've never had fully charged, new batteries drain this quickly in this phone. I'm very disappointed and I would not recommend it.

I have an extremely old phone and wore the battery out. Found this one, ordered it and it works well. I have not had it very long, but if it lasts as long as the original, I will probably need a new phone before I need a new battery.
