Came on time. D cell battery's a little tight though case was wrong. Works.

My gas fired fireplace uses a battery backup in case the electric goes down. Had not replaced the D cells for several years. A run of very cold air was forcasted and I opened up the unit ,found the batteries had leaked and damaged the battery holder making it unusable. Found brand new identical battery holders in stock.Ordered one day and got delivery the next day. Installed the holder and, put new D-cells. We had below zero nights for several days later that week. Fortunately we did not have electric power fail as it did for several days three years ago. You are buying a battery holder, you probably know what your project needs. It holds 2 D cells, it gets you 3 volts output, there are wires you can solder to, the red one is the positive. If you are looking for this, it does what you need. I'm using them to convert those fancy flickering flame light bulbs from socket to battery powered so I can make lantern and torch style props and decor and haven't had any problems with them.

I only used one of these holders, and it worked fine. The batteries are a snug fit, but that's ok, they're not going to pop out. The easiest way to get the batteries in is to put the negative end of the battery in first and push is completely to the side (i.e. compress the spring), then the positive terminal slides into place. I used this to provide a 3V alternative on a sensor and it worked great.

The batterie are fitting too tight.
