Sanding exterior wood "smooth" is a very bad idea. Exterior wood needs to be sanded to open up the pores of the wood for deeper penetration. Sand with 80 grit sandpaper, nothing finer. Most times, cleaning with Seal-Once All Wood Cleaner would be a better choice. It would also depend on the type of wood and the project.......... siding or deck, exterior furniture? Call us.

What is the difference in the Nano+Poly and the Marine?

I believe that the marina stain is has a special formula for freshwater and saltwater

Should i use wood putty/filler before sealing or after sealing by seal-once nano+poly?

Use a top-quality name-brand stainable/paintable outdoor (or interior-exterior) wood filler of genuine wood fibers that will provide expansion and contraction with the surrounding wood. Fill no more than 1/8th to 1/4” per layered application until flush with the surrounding surface--allow ample time for each layer to cure. Sand top layer flush. If choosing to stain, do so next to match if surrounding hue. After the final stain coat dries, apply 1-3 liberal coats of wood hardener, allowing it to dry between each application. If panting, skip stain and then paint over the top coat of dried wood hardener. It should last for the life of the wood in most cases.

Yes, but you must immediately back brush. Brush the area that you just sprayed. Apply the second coat while the first coat is still wet. Within 5-15 minutes.
