It's not easy to find the region coding on the packaging.......there is a small image of the world on the back with a number in it, there is a number 1 on this set......easy to miss this, took me a while to spot it.My sony blu ray player does not play multi region, but they play perfectly.So Maybe it isn't region 1 after all, many cartoons are region free.Very good quality.Look forward to watching these old classicsAlso postage cost was very reasonable.Packaged well and arrived very quicklyThank youUPDATE17th July 2014Just checked all the DVDs in this set with DVD Decrypter on my computer......believe it or not, they are multi region....1,2,3 and 4This effectively makes them region free.....the seller only gets told they are region 1, by the manufacturer, but it seems when they are produced they are made multi region.......good news for those with region 2 only players...Obviously, things change and I wouldn't like to guarantee this, but will be buying another set very soon for a relative, will check this set also and report back

For 40-something kids and their own kids
If you miss these two bouncing around the TV screen creating mayhem as only they can, and if you disapprove of the later, "cleaned up" versions of the cartoon, you're going to love this collection.It's all the early stuff you remember from your childhood. The politically-correct disclaimer at the beginning is annoying - who really thinks about Tom and Jerry in terms of race, anyway?! All we want is for Tom to get a frying pan smack in the kisser, right?You're going to need something to play US DVDs on, of course, as these are NTSC format, not PAL. Make sure you can play them before you put down your money. If you're all sorted where that's concerned, sit back and enjoy eighteen hours or so of supreme, laugh-out-loud, childish joy.
