Confusing reviews? Read this
Update: I have carried this bag for 18 months. Still in great condition! This was just delivered so I can't say how durable this is - but what I can say is that it's very well stitched. I've added close up photos. The craftsmanship is great for this price point. After reading other reviews it makes me wonder if these people actually ordered the same bag! To be clear this is the canvas sling bag by Leaper. This is a size medium which is perfect for purse size. What I look for in a bag like this is a bigger compartment for stuff I need to have with me but don't always need access to with easier to get to pockets for things I do! This fits the bill perfectly. Big organized compartment and then a mix of sizes of easy to get to compartments for phone, wallet, etc. Some of the features aren't really highlighted - such as the multipurpose straps and loops. Which are not purely decorative. This will be a great all purpose bag - great for hiking or shopping. I want a purse bag that's tough - I can toss it in the car without fear of stuff falling out and that will stand up to multitasking, errand running, day trips whatever. It's every bit as great as I hoped it will be. If it doesn't hold up to the durability test, I will update my review. If you are looking for something to carry books, laptop or for serious hiking you would definitely want the bigger ones. And I'm considering ordering the larger size as well.

Great bag!
Just got this bag in the mail today and it's so good! I love the blue color and it looks true to the listing. There is plenty of room in the pouches for what I need to bring with me and the strap is comfortable on my shoulders. The zippers feel really nice and pull smoothly. Inside the main pocket there's a laptop sleeve on one side and a couple small pockets on the other. The other large pocket under the flap doesn't have any dividers in it but is a great size. I haven't had the chance to use it much since I just got it, but it feels like it's going to last a very long time and I'm impressed.

Stylish and functional? My favorite bag!
I bought this for ME because I think it's a great unisex look. I got the large-sized bag because I needed a bottle mesh. I can fit my Surface Pro inside with plenty of room to spare, and it's my favorite bag I've ever owned. Almost want to buy a spare just in case... I took it with me to New Zealand, and it was the perfect size for a day bag. I have bony shoulders, so most backpacks with thin straps cut painfully into my shoulder and neck. The broad and cushioned strap spread out the pressure points and felt good even after an entire day of walking. It's very easy to sling the bag on and off, or swing it to the front when I need to grab something real quick. And the number of pockets are amazing! I was able to keep my tickets, cash, journal, etc all separated. The handle at the top was great for carrying it around too. I wore it around in the rain, and even though it's not waterproof, none of my belongings ever got soaked. I'm about to bring it with me to Scotland, so we'll see how it holds up on another international trip and more rain/snow! The only downsides are that sometimes the small of my back got hot and sweaty when using this bag, but it's no biggie. And I still haven't found a use for that snap-closure on the side...it's awkward to open/close, and nothing really fits there. The flap on that snap pocket is bent up at an awkward shape, and I haven't been able to get it to lie flat. Also I would have liked the inner cellphone pockets to be deeper or narrower; my phone slid out a few times when the bag tipped over. Also there are two phone pockets inside, but switching one of them out for wallet-style card slots would make more sense...but again, not a deal breaker. The black bag is not really black, but more of a bluish-gray (which I prefer).

Loved Having My Assets IN FRONT OF ME
This was my constant companion for 30 days of European travel. We traveled with 2 carry-ons, and this bag, trying to keep things simple and light. I went with a 'sling bag' instead of a backpack because I didn't want to weigh myself down. Further, I wanted to be able to switch sides with the pack and wear it as a chest pack without any hassle. Some places in Europe are crowded, and pickpockets are everywhere (we had to tussle with a couple of them in the Paris metro), so I felt better having my assets IN FRONT OF ME. Backpacks don't do this well. One strap instead of two makes all the difference. I went with the large size, and found it adequate. Sure, you can put more stuff in a bigger bag, but then you have more weight, and the temptation to always fill it. We traveled on and off a lot of trains and airplanes, through 5 countries, and this was more than adequate. Found the combination of pockets and zippers well thought out. There is one outside mesh pocket for carrying a water bottle. Loved that! The other side pocket is a snap down. The only thing I disliked was the main pocket had 2 magnetic closures (beneath the fake buckles), and I was getting into this bag often. Hard to quickly match the magnets and secure the bag. Isn't there a better way? Also, you need to know that a sling bag will not stay high on your back like a backpack does. The weight will drop it down, and you will find the MIDDLE of the strap is on your shoulder. You have to kind of hold it with one hand to keep it high. Never found this to be a problem, and having a hand on it made it feel secure. When wearing as a chest pack, it wasn't so noticeable. What did my wife and I carry in this thing? Valuables like passports and tickets, phones, and all associated cables, extra phone batteries, snacks, shopping treasures, knife, money, extra jacket or sweater, hat, journal and pens, paperwork, book, small flashlight, earphones, meds, travel umbrella, and more. They were all SECURE AND AVAILABLE when I needed them. Will it fit a tablet?? Yes, I'm sure it would, but I'm not a tablet guy when I'm traveling light. I-phone 6plus does everything for me in a good size. This bag was to prevent us from pulling down our carry-ons and digging through them all the time. It was also nice when 'out and about' for the day. Bag was durable, and I put it through a lot of abuse. There is some pulling on the stitches at the top of the strap, but seems to be holding up well. DID NOT receive this bag as a promotional, so this is just me. I'd recommend it to anyone. Glad the price has dropped from the $35 I paid for it. What a deal.

Real buyer! Did not receive sample in exchange for review!
I actually bought this thing. Personally, I'm sick of seeing that disclaimer. If you are too, you can trust me, at least on this. This bag is far roomier than the complaints about size would indicate. It's a tiny backpack, yes, but it's well designed and can fit more than you'd think. I am taking it with me to London and Paris next week and was thrilled to find that I could comfortably fit the following items: - DSLR Camera pack insert (by i-graphy, available on Amazon) - My Sony a6000 equipped with 35mm lens (into the insert) - Sony 55-210 lens with hood (into the insert) - a small umbrella (folded is less than 7", and I fit it in the side pocket that looks like it's best for a phone - Rolled up marmot rain jacket, Medium - One pocket-size map of London - One pocket-size map of Paris - Pocket-sized french phrasebook - One pair reading glasses It all fits comfortably but yeah, you'd be hard pressed to jam anything else in there without it looking crazy bulky. As it is now, it is full, but doesn't look like I'm walking around with the seams busting. I do wish my 11" tablet would fit as well, but while it could if I took out the camera, they can't both fit. If you had a smaller tablet and left out any of the other things, you could make it work. It also sits well on my back and shoulders. I'm a 5'10 man of average-to-athletic build and this bag does not look tiny on me. It's well built, stylish but low-key, and a good, comfortable design that works for everyday carry, I very much recommend this bag. Nobody gave me a darn thing for this review.

8 years of wear
For the past 8 years I've been using the size L almost daily. Here's what broke: - Zipper pulls - PU leather surface - Some of the internal structure has broken down That's it, seriously. This bag has been though so much, and still refuses to quit on me. The zippered compartment underneath the flap is the PERFECT size for my 10.3" tablet or an A5 notebook. (Size L) Oftentimes I would overload this bag and wish that is was a regular backpack, since it would cause strain on one shoulder and would slide off easy if I didn't wear it across my chest. It is a bit large to be a functional sling bag as well, though that may not be true for the size M. With all that said, I love this bag. I can fit a folder and a really slim binder if you need it to, and everyone is always surprised how much I can pull out of this little bag. Even now, I'm finding it tough to replace because of how convenient the little pockets are in such a small size. Note: I cut off one of the buckles during a particularly abusive day

Excellent Bag for My Needs
After purchasing and subsequently returning many bags to be used as a medical HEAT Kit (a bag containing meds and information to treat my particular rare disease) this was the first that allowed full use of the dimensions advertised. Most of the openings were smaller than the actual measurements on other bags. For example, I carry an IPad with complete medical information. Although many bags should have been able to carry it, the openings would not allow the iPad to actually get in the bag. Other nice features included the ability to carry it cross body on either side just by shifting the strap. I also found some bags that did most of what I needed but this particular bag allowed carrying it with a handle as well as the shoulder strap, nice for entering and exiting my vehicle. The abundance of pockets for organizing my contents was also very important. Carrying multiple categories of accessibility aides, it was nice to organize same. If there was a negative (and it is tiny) I would have loved to have rubber feet or maybe some sort of protective bottom to the bag so that the canvass would not wear out as fast. Weight and ease of carrying were also of great importance. My particular disease leaves me weak on some days and carrying a heavier bag or one that didn’t leave my hands free was just not an option. The multiple attachment points for the shoulder strap also made for excellent places to attach it to my rolling walker. Again keeping my hands free to hang onto the walker or handrails. All in all, a great bag for the money and far out performed much more expensive bags for my purpose. I did buy a couple since they were so well suited for my purpose.

Great! Fits everything
I use it for magic the gathering supplies, love the color, the zippers feel quality and smooth to open, plenty of space for all my stuff, 2 medium sized collector boxes (the ones that have 9 booster packs) 2 commander sized deck boxes a folder of cards, a small deck for tokens, and a box of */* counter dice, and there's still a little wiggle room, love it will order again

Bin begeistert.
Muss ehrlich sagen, ich hätte nicht all Zuviel erwartet. Ist ja ein recht günstiger Preis. Lieferung, war zügig. Verpackung gut. Merci vielmals
