Very good boar brush
Very good boar brush. It did not have any odor to it, even when wet for the first time. Needs to soak in warm water for at least 3 minutes before each use. Has a lot of backbone to it and with a minimal amount of scritch. Has performed nicely with creams but excels when using soaps. Works well when face and/or bowl lathering. Looking forward to all of the bristles splitting. The grip on the handle is nice but I suspect the sticker will fall off in the near future, no big deal. The only knock against this brush is the boar hairs go in a bunch of different directions. Imagine Don King having a really bad hair day.

Acts like a $100 brush at a great price.
For the value, it is one of my favorite brushes. Easy break-in period with little to no funky smell that is typical with boar brushes. It is also extremely soft, and I enjoy the natural look for the bristles, it is not made to look like badger, which is good when buying a boar hair brush. Spoil yourself as a beginner or add to your collection you can not go wrong with this brush!

Beautiful brush that also works beautifully
This is a great brush. I love the natural color of the bristles and once they are wet they are so soft. Good backbone for mixing the lather. It gets even better once it breaks in. And the handle is the best there is. Solid with some weight to it. I would buy this again.

Underrated Shaving Brush
This is the little-known sibling of the 830 brush. The handle and size are similar, but the bristles are undyed and a little stiffer. As a result, it doesn't feel quite as soft on the face, but for some shavers with a tough beard, this can be a good thing.Like the 830, the price is extremely reasonable and the quality is very high. It is a medium size brush and will work for lathering in a bowl or on the face. The handle is short but concave and is easy to grip. This brush seems to handle any kind of soap or cream well, from the hardest shaving soaps (Tabac, Mitchells), to soft soaps (Proraso, Cella), and creams (Proraso, Taylor of Old Bond Street). Some shavers who have a tough beard and exclusively lather on the face may want a stiffer brush, in which case I would recommend the Semogue 610. Others may want something a little softer and more luxurious feeling, in which case I would recommend the Semogue 830.If this is your first shaving brush, I would recommend soaking in warm water for 5-10 minutes before the first use, then lather up some soap or cream in a bowl or your hand. Boar brushes require a "break in" as the tips of the bristles split and curl. When this happens, they become soft and pleasant to use.

Boar
Great looking brush and wonderful for soft soaps, croaps. It is a longer version of the 610, which is firmer and more versatile.
