We have an 85 ob husky shepherd mix and he tests the limits of this daily. In the six months so far it has survived. We have had torrential downpours, dry spells, all sorts of weather and it hasn't budged. I am very glad we bought this.

I was very concerned with the dirt and its holding power/durability. In Tennessee, dirt is very hard/red clay. Until you loosen it...after putting these threaded nails in the ground (which took awhile btw) I was sure I loosened the dirt to get them in.Regardless it's been two weeks, we've had rain in the interim and it has held up very well to all of the darting, pulling and tugging that my short legged "low rider" pit has dolled out. I considering try other on one if not I will buy another for his brother. EXCELLENT PRODUCT ❤OH DID I MENTION the reinforcement ring inside the clasp kept my dogs from being able to snap the leash? I have desperately looked for a clasp with that added reinforced element to no avail...this set up is worth its weight in gold!!

While shopping for a stake for my dogs lead. I was hesitant to spend extra money on this. However, I can say, this item is the best of its kind. And I have tried several. I have been using it now for a few months. With absolutely no issues of the lead or chain getting caught or wrapped around it tangled. However, you want to put it. it stays securely in the ground. if I have any complaints at all., it would be that putting it in its place, and, having to hammer stakes into the ground was a little more inconvenient than others that I have used. But well worth it once it was installed. I will never go back to another stake. The shipment with speedy and I believe the money as well worth it.

I think this is the first Amazon review I’ve ever written. Brought this camping to secure our dogs so they could hang out with us but not run off. We have a lab mix (60 lbs) and a chow (75 lb) and the chow is an escape artist. Previously used the Ruffwear dog tie between two trees but with two dogs it resulted in a lot of tangles. I bought this as a backup honestly not expecting it to work with one dog, let alone two. Well let me tell you—- I was shocked. This thing WORKS and is INSANELY strong. Easy to set up, used a mallet to hit the lugs in. There’s no way a dog or 2, I don’t care how big or strong, could pull this out. Just be sure to bring something to get this out when you’re done using — I was able to wedge scissor blades under 4 of the 6 lugs to pull them out but the last 2 wouldn’t budge. Had to pull it out with the truck to get the center piece and remaining 2 lugs out! Next time will bring a drill with a nut driver for easy removal. Can’t recommend this enough. Still shocked at how great this little setup works.

I must admit when I made this purchase I really didn't have much faith in this tie out keeping my rottweiler from not pulling out and running off. But to my amazement it's staying in place and holding up well. Since my Rottie is only left out on the lead to do his business it's working well so far. I did purchase a shorter lead for added security. The base has pulled out of the ground some but still holding in place well. I don't think I would trust it to hold as a permanent tie out, and it has the added benefit of being moved and reinstalled with ease. Very satisfied with this product.

I used to it to make sure my pup wouldn't run away while we were building a fence around the yard. My 'pup' weighs over a 120 pound (it's a Spanish Mastin) - so I can tell you that it's sturdy, and it can take some 'pull'!

This thing is great, but my 100 lb Bernese Mountain dog pulled it out and dragged it down the street chasing a cat.My first impression of unboxing it was that the stakes looked too short. Sure enough. My soil seemed adequate to hold a stake, so the advertised strength must be in a different type of soil. It would work well if it was screwed to a post or something, but not in my grass.

Had to return didn't work for my yard But it was very nice and very durable

I hook my two dogs to this stake multiple times a day, every day. There's no way they're going to rip this out of the ground. However, just to be safe, I'll probably re-install it in a new spot every few months.

We have a 55 kg bull mastiff and she is very strong. We took this camping to keep her tied up to our camping area. This device worked perfectly. The swivel prevented her from getting tangled up in the lead. Once she took off after a creature at full speed, and this stake did not budge at all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Quality build, if base disk was a little larger probably would be stronger in terms of pull resistance. I have not experienced any issues with my pittty. Mind you she doesnt pull much once she feels resistance. You could buy longer lag bolts if simply going into the ground. Made out of stainless steel looks much better than some other alternative products for more money

Installed this into the ground in the back yard and it holds our pup 100% . I wasn’t sure about knocking the bolts into the ground, but it couldn’t work any better. This is a very heavy, quality stainless ball and socket and could be mounted in wood or cement and would likely last forever. Highly, highly recommend this!!
