Very good quality, worked perfectly.
These are well built and paid for themselves the first use by not having to setup standard roof jacks to reach some tricky areas. The cushoned ends of the hook grab the peak of the roof securely with zero damage. Each hook has 250lb rating. Pictured here is a very small segment of a ladder with one hook attached. I am 6' tall and just shy of 200 lbs, and was able to climb this section safely to paint the siding. They are not light.. when used on a larger section of ladder, I used both the hooks. It was very top heavy at that point, and I was grateful to have the rollers on the other side.I was using Werner extension ladders and the fit was good, though it felt like it was pretty tough to get the top (adjustable) hook really tight against the rungs. Not a problem as they were secure enough to stay in place while rolling/turning into place.

Sturdy
When your on a roof trusting yourself to these things they need to be sturdy and they are. Fit both my ladders without issue. Having two is nice as well, I almost bought a cheaper version that only had 1; I’m glad I didn’t. The ladder rung will break before these do. I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t work with any ladder. The hook is deep enough I would trust it without the top screw in locking mechanism. They don’t hold real tight though, for everyday roofer they would need some rubber coating to hold firm to the ladder and not slide around when moving.

A Well Constructed (But Heavy) Product.
I've encountered "pros" and "cons" in using these ladder hooks. The "pros" are that the hooks are extremely well constructed and roll easily up the roof of my house. The "cons" are associated with their total weight due to the heavy construction. They actually make the ladder quite top-heavy. Also, no matter how hard I tightened them, they slid from side-to-side when rolling them up the ridge of the roof. I had to actually wire tie them to sides of the ladder to prevent this from happening.

Worked great on a steep roof
How do use please in order to safely roof my 12 and 12 pitch. I used both at the top of the ladder, but I think I would’ve felt secure using just one if it wasn’t a 15’ fall off the eve!

Easy to use and held my weight (195lbs) with ease.
The build quality was sturdy and substantial. Easily worked with my ladder and held in place securely. I have a steep pitched roof and made my roof cleaning safe and possible.

Ladder Hooks
I had issues with mounting this to the ladder. It would not seat well when tightened. Maybe some heavy rubber to allow for leeway to help secure it. Every time I tightened the wing nut the two pieces of mounting bracket forced the bracket away from ladder rung about 1/2 inch whish cause them to move sideways when flipping over on roof peak cause one hook to lay on top of the other hook which had to be fixed when I was up on the peak. It is heavy like many have stated 30+ pounds. Sturdy buy a lot sturdier than needed. as a the ladder is the weakest point anyway. It worked but bugs could be worked out on this item.

Must have a pair.
Please use these type hooks when put a ladder to the roof. For the money, it is a great insurance. May prevent injuries since it won’t let your ladder slips down. I strongly recommend to buy and install to your ladder. Install it well please. Because it is heavy. It will be difficult to put the ladder to the roof but it is doable. It would be a better product if they can manufacture same strength with a lighter material.

Very Satisfied With The Ladder Hooks!!! Better than Expected!!!
Haven't been able to use them yet, because of the weather here. But they seem to be rugged and sturdy enough for me to get the job done. Looking forward to using them when the snow and ice clear off of the roof. I was very surprised at how well built they are. And to be able to make a single purchase for a package of 2, for the price, was a Win, Win for me!!!

Safe as can be
I wasn't comfortable with the other ladder hooks that are seperate pieces. These hooks are strong but heavy. Depending on your ladder rung shape you may have to fiddle with them to keep them from moving around (but they won't fall off). I used some heavy foam tape to help, and a wrench on the wing nuts.Recommended!

Works good
A little heavy but it is what it is. Works great otherwise.

heavy but effective
these arrived timely and as promised. when installed, they are heavy which does make (re)positioning kind of challenging. other than that, they do work as they are supposed to.

should buy stabilizing bars also, this will help in not damaging your roof shingles.
this product is great for keeping the ladder in place for a steep roof pitch.
