Exclusive pumper must have
I am a second time around exclusive pumper. This time I self diagnosed as having elastic nipples after doing some research. I was in so much pain from my nipples rubbing against my flanges top the point they were raw and cracking. Many moms recommended these cushions to help aide the healing process and reduce the pain. Best purchase ever! I can tell already within a week of consistent 6x daily use that they’re going to need replaced quickly. For what they are, they feel over priced. But I can’t find any comparable product and I don’t think my nipples would survive the next 8 months without them! My only complaint aside from cost is they aren’t HSA eligible. 😢 otherwise, highly recommend this for exclusive pumpers struggling with abused nipples! There was a little learning curve on placement but once I got it down my output went up and I was able to get my nipples healed!

Price gouging
It seems like this company is trying to slap its customers in the face with the insane pricing of these beaugen inserts. There are desperate pumping mamas who are in major pain due to their elastic nipples and they seem to be taking full advantage of that desperation. The inserts are extremely thin silicone, they look like they would cost around $0.25 to manufacture. Then the price is marked up 10,000% to $25. I could understand the high cost if the product was long lasting and a one time purchase. But they are so thin and flimsy that they will not last despite how well you care for them. I used them for 1 day and they were stretched out and worthless after that. Can you imagine paying $25 per day to be able to use these cushions that look like they cost almost nothing to make? I absolutely can’t afford that. No matter how well they work, the cost just isn’t feasible. If the product was more durable then I would use it, but unfortunately the company seems more intent on price gouging rather than helping its customers. I also don’t like how they give very little by way of instructions. No mention of whether or not to use lubrication with them or what size flange to use them with, etc. For exclusively pumping mamas, this is just not a good option because they don’t hold up and are too expensive. For the same price you can buy Lacteck silicone flanges that are useful for a long time. They may not be quite as comfortable as the beaugens but if you compare paying $25 for flanges that last several months or more to $25 inserts that last one day, the flanges win hands down. Don’t waste your money or support a company that does this to their customers!

Decreased output when used with Elvie Stride
I purchased these in hopes to size down the flanges for my Elvie Stride and hopefully make pumping a bit more comfortable. I needed a 17 mm flange but the smallest size available for Elvie stride is 21 mm. So these sized them down to 17 mm I believe. While pumping was significantly more comfortable, all of the sudden my pump couldn't trigger a let down and my output was much lower (I could feel the suction just fine, and my pump parts are all up to date). This morning I didn't get any milk out of one side and maybe a half oz out of the other. I took the inserts out and pumped again and got 3 oz and 5 oz out of the respective sides. Maybe they work better with traditional flanges as opposed to the collection cups. Just bummed because they are pretty pricey.

Life saver!
Prior to this purchase, I did not look forward to pumping. Even after lubricating the flanges it was always uncomfortable and the pinching was awful. A lactation nurse recommended this product, but the price had me unsure initially. However, I was desperate for help and relief. And boy did this deliver! Still experience a small amount of pinching, but nowhere near what it is without. I find I don't even have to use lubrication, this helps protect the sensitive skin from too much friction as is. This adds 1-2 mm to the diameter of the flange, so the company recommends to use a flange that is 1-2 sizes larger than what you would normally use, smallest being 21 mm (I was using a 19 mm flange before, but had to get a 21 mm to use these). TLDR: if you're tired of trying various different flange sizes and lubricating products without success, these are worth the try! Will be buying again for sure!

Helped with elastic nipples but don’t last long
If you read the instructions you’re supposed to “train” these to fit your flange. Once I did that, they fit perfectly and helped a lot with elastic nipples! The major downside is that the stickiness doesn’t last long. It does say replace every 2 weeks on the high end but these MIGHT last you a week if you’re exclusively pumping like I am. I’ve had these for a week and the stickiness has gone down a lot. I don’t think they’ll make it to two weeks. I will buy more because I haven’t found another solution that works for me.

Improves Comfort!
I was skeptical about this product but it really has improved my pumping experience. My first baby I kept getting sore cracked nipples while pumping despite using nipple creams. This silicone flange has eliminated the friction and really don’t need to use any nipple cream anymore (always use cream though). It’s reduced the time I’ve felt sore after pumping from like 1hr to like maybe 10 mins. Yes how it sits in the flange is a little weird but it doesn’t need to fit against it perfectly. The point of the product is that it provides a buffer. My “lame boob” has also produced more since using this product I think because of the comfort it provides while using it.

Cushions peel! Not safe for baby.
I’ve been a long time customer of Beaugen cushions. I pumped 13 months with them for my first baby and now 5 months and counting with my second. I love them and confidently know how to use them. I just got a recent replacement pair and within a week of using them, a layer has begun to peel off. This is extremely concerning since this could impact my baby’s milk. The customer service phone number doesn’t work. So I’ve now been back and forth with Beaugen customer service via email. I’ve tried to escalate this because I need a these to pump breastmilk effectively for my baby. But it’s now taken a week and still no resolution. I’m hopeful this defect is just a one off but I’m so disappointed in the lack of communication and quick resolution from the Beaugen team. I will have to find another solution like LacTeck.

Great product, but its a little pricey.
I love these things! I've been pumping for 4 weeks and have been having constant friction blisters. These really helped me to heal. They stick to your nipple so the flange rubs against the silicone instead of your skin. When I first got them in I didn't really think they would do much, because is just this fragile looking silicone, they probably won't last long, but I'd still order more of these when these wear out.
