Great little toy

Very interesting little toy. First one didn't work, but replacement works great.

Giving mine 4 stars simply due to the fact that while it functions as it should, the music seems a bit static sounding still even though I’m using 2 note square wave midi files. Not sure if others encounter the same issue. Other than that, works and functions as advertised. It is completely safe to touch, and as mentioned by some others I would not run it for more than half an hour to an hour max. Make sure you have good ventilation as well in the room you run it at because after about 10 minutes of solid use the ozone discharge gets to be a bit much. Solidly built and looks very nice. Plus the box it comes in is great for storing it when not in use while still looking good. Not as good as some other larger coils that play music, but for a decent little coil with some music files and adapter all for about $100 that’s a price you can’t beat. Especially with the fact that it’s one of the only entry levels where you can safely touch the arcs. On high power low frequency you can’t feel the arcs much. Increasing the frequency though you’ll feel it a bit more. Don’t let it touch a single area on you too long though otherwise you’ll get some nice little burn blisters. Doesn’t “hurt” so to speak, just an annoying sting if you get them.

I've always loved science gadgets, and this one is a lot of fun for the money. It produces sparks that are big (several inches long) and loud! It also comes with several tiny bulbs that light up just by holding them near the coil's "needle," some copper wire you can use to make various shapes that light up when attached to the needle, and a tube that when you place it over the needle it causes "lightning bolts" to run up the tube. The music feature makes other-worldly sounds, but it's not something you really want to listen to for very long! Overall, it seems to be well-built and is a lot of fun to play with, but it's NOT a music device.

its good but its only been 2 days since I had it ill make an update to 3 day but it was fine but I don't if its because of high humidity but my arcs disappeared every 2 seconds although its fine it still works as normal everything is fine although the arcs arent bigger like in the videos but idk if its because I'm in the UK and the converter adapted ris infering with it or high humity idk but on the 3 day ill give an update telling if its still works since there was one review saying after 3 days It stopped working so ye but this is a good product and recommend to buy also its fine for the UK plug although you would have to buy a plug adapter converter. It's been 2 weeks since I bought it now and I can say its the best it works functions well although the discharge mode arcs are little smaller then the videos stoll trying to find a solution to it or an answer and ye also if you coulden5 tell I'm in the UK idk why it says usa but I'm in the UK and bought it in the uk

So, for starters I made the mistake of ordering something with no reviews - I just saw the 4 star review and google-translated it back to basically saying what I have discovered myself - unsure why they gave it 4 stars given their review though. I should've seen the broken English in the description and known that I was in for a world of misfortune but that's part of my mistakes made here. I chose to trust that the bluetooth would be easy to setup and that it'd be as simple as "plug and play". I was incorrect. It only plays "square wave music", and it doesn't come with a link to get samples or a place listed as being safe to download recognizable music. The frequency emitter - the non-music portion - works fine but the main reason I got this was for having a music playing tesla-coil. Even when I went to some sites or went on youtube to the square wave samples and it doesn't play them - yes, I connected to the bluetooth of this device and had the switch turned to the music notes. It just sits there and does nothing. I will be attempting to return this as soon as possible. Also - the manual's directions are 3 short sentences, so don't count on an in-depth explanation. Short Version - IT DOESN'T PLAY MUSIC. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Thanks for getting my hopes up though, Joycon. It was a good lesson that I won't soon forget.

This was unexpectedly fun for the entire family. We used Spotify to stream music. To note the device plays music with electricity, so it’s not a true speaker in the sense. But it’s pretty neat how it pics up rhythms and patterns. I also enjoyed the accessories that came with the device.

We've seen this a lot on social media and got it as an anniversary gift for my husband. This thing is 3 times louder than the video makes it seem. There is a heat warning "when used continuously", when we first used it for barely a minute it got hot to the touch when in the glass tube. We connected one of the lights and placed it on the case because we were not confident holding it and again no longer than 1 minute it burned the top glass panel (see picture). The smell that comes with it was immediate for us no more than 30 secs you could smell off burning metal. Unless your song choice is extremely distinct/ sharp you will not be able to hear it. Like the Mario song worked great but Sail by awolnation after the intro not so much. This box also shocked us literally. My husband pushed the box to move it and was shocked through the metal screw. My box was also not sealed. Idk if this is the sellers fault or Amazon but it was shipped in the box it's packaged in and it was not sealed. There was no sticker or tape on the opening to show any tampering.
