Very functional. Better than rope. Seems unbreakable

Everything needed was included, and the installation was super simple. I have been on the water a few times since installing and the larger handle is very nice. Durability is probably the same or similar to the OEM cable, but I like the handle on the G-Force much better than the OEM.

This is much better than the rope that comes on the trolling motor. Easy to install and durable.

Works great! Was easy to install and provides a lot more hand placement to make it easier to pull the trolling motor up and stow. Would buy again.

Overall this product is much better than any handle supplied with your trolling motor. The big handle can fit my fairly large hands with room to spare. Adds a much more satisfying look to the front of the boat. The cable is very durable(no worries about dry rotting like the stock ropes). My only complaints with this kit is that the set screw for holding the cable onto the handle is not the best this seems like it might be a future failure point due to stripping out.

If trolling motor manf. would just go ahead and spend about 2 dollars more on materials and install something similar there would be no need for this. This handle is sturdy and you will never have to worry about falling and either breaking your rods, falling in the water or having to explain to your fishing partner why you are cussing so much when that stupid cotton/nylon rope breaks as soon as you try to stow or deploy your trolling motor. Again let me tell you what a pain it is to have to buy something like this due to manf. deciding not to put a quality cable on the release so you don't have to take your trolling motor out of the clamp when it breaks while deployed. Oh did i mention it always happens when you need to get that bad boy up out of the water. But i own two of these on two different boats and i snatch and pull on them like I'm trying to start old push mower and i have not broken or had any failures. My advice is to just buy it before you even have to experience a rope failure. Your body will appreciate it as you will not experience sudden spike in blood pressure as your picking yourself up off the deck or floor of your boat. Enjoy :)

Great product

Easy to install on a Fortrex but made cheap. As you can see in the my photo, the plastic cap to keep cord inside handle does not fit. Save yourself money and just buy oem one from Minn Kota.
