Will these work on thin paneling such as hollow doors or RV walls?

I’m not sure. They are pretty deep (over 1 inch) and not sure if they would compress enough to hold securely on thin panel. For that purpose I would use another style mollie that is made to compress with greater rear support.

Can these be used with # 6 screws?

Hello, thanks for the question. #6 screw would run small for the 5/16", we recommend #8-#12 for this plug size.
