As someone who needs scissors for a variety of projects around the home and office, I'm always on the lookout for a pair that can handle whatever gets thrown at them. The Scotch 8" Precision Scissors have risen to the challenge and become my go-to scissors for everything. Right out of the package, these scissors impressed me with their superbly sharp blades. They slice through paper, cardboard, fabric, and even thin plastics with no problem at all. The precision of the blades ensures clean, accurate cuts every time. Whether I'm working on arts and crafts, opening mail or gift wrapping, I don't have to struggle or make multiple attempts. Comfort was another thing I noticed about these scissors. The ergonomic design of the handles provides a perfect grip that feels great even with extended use. I never experience hand strain or fatigue. At 8 inches, they are also the ideal size - not too small for tough materials, but also not unwieldy. Durability is top-notch as well. I've always liked Scotch tape, so I'm not surprised that their scissors are on the same quality. They're sharp and precise, easily able to cut through anything. It accidentally grazed my skin, so it's definitely something you have to handle with care. I mostly use these scissors to cut tape or open sealed packages, its very quick and easy. It fits nicely in my hands and doesn't come with a cover, so I once again recommend handling and storing it with great care. Edit: just wanted to put a quick update that I was opening a package as usual, and my fingers kind of got stuck. I had to put the package down to release my fingers with my other hand. I have medium sized hands so if you have some as well, you might notice that its a comfortable but snug fit. I'm glad my fingers didn't get fully stuck because I was honestly panicking for a few seconds. I definitely recommend trying to be mindful of the fit of your fingers.

Love these scissors. I lost my first pair and bought two more of these. Very budget friendly, does exactly what they need to. If they ever break or get lost, easy to buy another pair.

I picked these up for general household use, but I was surprised by how heavy-duty they actually feel. The Cutting Test: These are significantly sharper than standard budget scissors. I tested them on two difficult materials: Thick Cardboard: Sliced right through without needing excessive force. Yoga Mat: I needed to cut up an old yoga mat (dense foam/rubber), and these scissors glided through it effortlessly. Most scissors would "chew" or get stuck on this rubbery material, but the Scotch Precision blades handled it perfectly. Build Quality: The tension is spot on. There is zero "wobble" between the blades when you cut, which allows for very precise lines. The ergonomic handle shape fits my hand well and doesn't cause pressure points, even when cutting through thicker stuff. Verdict: If they can handle a yoga mat, they can handle anything in your office. It's worth the price especially when it's on sale. Highly recommended.

Cuts nice and smooth.

These are one impressive pair of scissors, and with blades extraordinarily sharp from base to tip! In fact, they are almost as sharp as surgical scissors, and will slice through even cardboard and fabric like butter. They are extremely well designed and made with high quality stainless steel that never rusts, so making them perfect in the kitchen, as well. The ergonomic handle is soft, perfectly proportioned, comfortable, and without any pressure points even for lengthy projects. The blade alignment and tension are exceptionally precise. In fact, so much so, it appears these scissors have the “dynamic tensioning” so often recommended when looking for the best. And the screw indicates excellent quality whereby it allows the two halves to be separated so the entire length of the blades can be sharpened. The price is excellent and the delivery was, literally, in hours. I’d not hesitate buying another pair if needed; or another size, just as long as it was the Scotch brand. Remember to handle them with care and keep away from small children; they’re that sharp!
