These are great cat treats overall but especially if you need to give your cat pills for medicine. I’ve tried Greenies pill pockets and the pill masking paste stuff to form around a pill and none of them consistently worked. I then gave these treats a try and my stubborn cat will eat them with a pill inside 100% of the time. You just shove the pill into the soft center of the treat and then form the displaced soft center around the ends to hide the rest of the pill.

My cat gets so excited when she sees this treat come out. She absolutely loves it. It’s her favorite treat.

I use these to give pill medicines to my outside feral cat that I take care of. He will not allow any topical medications or being held to administer a pill. I use a pill cutter to cut a pill in half and place each pill half into the middle of separate Churu Bites using a toothpick. The portion that squishes out is placed back into the entrance hole the pill made. The bites are soft with a Churu paste consistency in the middle. I have been 100 percent successful in administering pill medication this way. I’ve tried so many other methods in the past, i.e.,pill paste, pill pockets, soft cheese, lunch meat, etc. with very little success, as he wouldn’t eat the product or spit the pill out. The Churu Bites have alleviated a lot of stress and have ensured my feral boy successfully gets his meds every month.

I hope this review helps others. We had to give our cat meds because he became terribly sick. Long story. Anyway, we were chasing him around, sitting on him, using a pill popper, it was a nightmare. He fought us, big time. Then someone recommended hiding the meds in these chews. DEAL CHANGER! Now instead of chasing him, he comes eagerly! We break the meds in two and stick them in the middle of the chews and it has changed a very unpleasant experience for our cat into something he looks forward to! Such a relief because we have to give him these meds 2xs a day for a few months.

My cat refuses to touch Pill Pockets, but he loves these. I fill a #3 gelatin capsule with his meds, stick it into this treat, and he goes right for it. I follow up with Inaba Churu treat from a stick to make sure he swallows the pill.So much better than the useless cat pilling videos online. My cat would hate me if I tried to do that to him twice a day. This is an infinitely better way to do it. Note: the empty gel cap is key...most meds are bitter and it won't work if you try to stick them directly into the treat.

We tried these as a replacement for the “greenies pill pockets” that our cat had turned against. Success!!!!! He is again taking his daily Prozac without a miserable struggle that makes him hate us, lol. Do note that once the package is opened, any unused treats need to be refrigerated. This isn’t as convenient as the ( no refrigeration required) pill pockets but it’s a price we’re very willing to pay for our purposes. Oh, and our other cat ( who isn’t getting pilled) is delighted to be in on the snack action, too.

The cats love these. I swear, they can hear it when I touch the package. Great for rewards, pilling, and for getting everyone in one room. Hooray for Churu!
