Rainbird 5000 Series Part/Reverse Full Circle Rotor, 4", Black, Model: Y54007

Most of our sprinkler heads in our system are rain bird 5000s. They've all functioned great for the last 13 yrs, but unfortunately one finally snapped off from the wife driving over the grass. Ordered this 5000 as a replacement. Remove of the old one and installation of this one was easy. Adjustment of the range and radius was easily dialed in. I did notice a little leakage around the connection on initial installation. Nothing a little plumber's tape didn't fix. After filling in the hole around the newly installed head and repatching the sod, I notice that maybe the leakage wasn't from the base so much as it was from the actually head. Water leaked out in various spots during the spray cycle. Most of it went where it's directed, but not all. The worst part is after the spray cycle, water continued to spray out of the top of the head till the pressure went down. None of my other 5000s experiences this behavior. It sort of works for now, but it's not great. I will keep looking for a replacement. Guess they don't make them like they use to. Too bad..

This is a Bart to setup before installing but once in the ground it works as expected !
