I bought this piece because apparently my house was built during a decade where the drain to p-trap length is longer than it is today (or at least wear the drain/ptrap kit was manufactured). And so, I required something a bit longer and I'm very pleased to say that this tail-piece did the trick. I was able to cut it to the size I needed with a jeweler's saw easily (just a tool I had lying around). It also matched the other brass pieces I had. I recommend this if you need an extra piece because your house is a little different!

This product saved me from spending money to change the whole concept of my new bathroom sink I would give 5 out 5 stars . Works with sink tail by extended it to the desired Hight .

I purchased a modern brushed gold P-trap (that just out straight from the wall rather than curves) and this extension pipe matched exactly. This is brushed gold and should match exactly with other brushed gold metal accents.

I ordered this tail pipe because I needed a longer length when updating my vanity from a drop-in to vessel sink. The local hardware stores either didn’t have the size in stock or were closed. This shipped free next-day for the win.The pipe and flange fit my pop up drain assembly like a glove. Which is odd because it’s a pipe.
