I bought these steps in June 2022 (more than two years ago), when I was trying out alternative ways of getting my dog to the vet. He normally travels in a crate in the back of my Honda CRV and at that time, he could easily jump in or out of the cargo area where I keep the crate. For vet visits, however, he needs to be pre-medicated with two sedatives and he is too groggy to jump in and out. He's a big dog and it's not safe for me to lift him so I thought the steps would help. I really liked them, but for various reasons it turned out to be preferable for my dog to ride in the back seat of the car to and from vet visits, so I did not need the steps. Instead of returning them, however, I decided to keep them for future use when my aging dog would be less mobile. Sure enough, it's now two years later and my guy can no longer safely jump up to get in the crate (jumping down is still OK). I got out the steps and he easily mastered going up, so now we use them every time he needs to get into the car. I love that the step height can be adjusted by simply pulling the steps out further, making it exceptionally easy, safe, and non-scary for my dog to climb up. My dog weighs about 65 pounds and the steps support his weight with no problem. They are very easy to use and I can open them up and get them situated with one hand while holding my dog's leash with the other hand. Folding them up is a breeze and they can be stored in the back seat of the car without taking up a lot of space. This is a great product and I'm so glad I kept them "waiting in the wings" for two years ... they are invaluable to me now. Highly recommend.

I did so much research, read every review and watched every video, because I was sick of buying products my boys wouldn't use or even go near. These stairs are great! They are light weight, easy to use, and sturdy! I appreciate the built in straps to carry them easily. I also like the little clamp that you can use to secure the stairs to the back of the car, although the stairs are heavy enough that the handles will work just fine. I love that the stairs don't move and sway when the dogs are climbing them. I have 2 lab-mastiffs weighing in at 100 pounds a piece, a 65 pound Husky, and a 45 pound mutt I found abandoned that no one seems too know the breed. The little guy loved it, the Husky took a minute but was ok, 1 lab-mastiff wouldn't use them but he has no problem jumping in my SUV so I didn't press, and my other guy - the entire reason I bought the stairs - my 100 pound baby who is killing my back because he is too afraid to jump, well he was not happy but with a lot of begging and a little pushing, he did use the stairs (twice now). I am hoping that the more we use them, the easier it will be. I will update if I come across any problems, but so far, so good! I've actually sent the link to buy these to a few friends already.

We got this for our 12 year old black lab to get up onto our bed. We custom built our bed frame which puts the bed at like waist height so there was no way for our dog to get into bed with us. It seems very sturdy, no problems holding him at 80 lbs. It’s super easy to fold up if needed and no assembly was required. It doesn’t shake when he walks on it, seems stable. It’s a little heavy but not too bad. We don’t worry about that as it stays near the bed. We’ve been using it for a few months so far and it’s worked perfectly!

Needed to get some steps for our aging Great Pyrenees/Golden retriever mix that is 130lbs (trying to reduce that number!). He doesn't have the jump/agility he used to have and has difficulty in getting into the car to go somewhere. Looked through multiple products and found this as it had great reviews for holding large weight, sturdiness, and wide steps. Our dog is afraid to go up anything but we got him to go up and down the steps in just a short period of time. He now has no issue with using these and the steps hold very well! Also, the steps are light weight and easy to bring with us. I know these are a bit pricey but they are def worth the money!!!

Original review - I am so happy that I bought these. They are wide, very sturdy and extremely easy to deploy. My 110 lb old lab took to them right away. They don't take up much room. And best of all the range of height extended fits all three of our vehicles!UPDATED review: My dog loved them at first. But unfortunately they failed. My dog was exiting the car and stepped close to a side edge, The metal support crumpled instantly on that side. The step broke. I cannot recommend. My dog was unnerved by the experience and could have been injured. I can no longer recommend this product.

As our 70 pound dog aged, it became increasingly more difficult for him to jump into the back of our SUV. This product eliminates that issue. It’s incredibly easy for him to simply walk up the stairs into the rear of the SUV. Any pain resulting from jumping in & out of the vehicle is also eliminated. The steps are made of quality material that will last for years yet it’s light and easy to set up. Finally, it folds up into a compact size of 7” x 17” x 20” so it won’t take up much space in the SUV or when storing it in the garage. In short, it’s a fabulous product that really works.

I purchased this for our still growing english mastiff. The weight rating on these stairs was for dogs 150-200 lbs. Our guy is 165. The minute he stepped on the steps they creaked and sounded like they were going to buckle. I was worried the steps were going to collapse on his way back down them. It appears they are made of cardboard under the step fabric. What I liked was the width of the stairs and I also liked the ease with which they accordion open and then close again. Very easy. The weight of the steps isn't bad either. I wish these had worked out because there was more that I liked vs didn't like- but they weren't going to last. Very easy to return.
