Will this fit a 40 oz water bottle?

My husband has a 26oz. & it is a little too tall. 20 oz. would work but no for 40 oz.

What is the internal diameter?

As the product description says, the internal diameter is 3.55 inches, a large size that I find very usefull.

It does appear to be quite sturdy. I have only used it a few times but have not had problems with it coming apart.

What would it be the best recommended way to wash this material?

The best way to wash this water bottle pouch is most likely by hand or delicate by itself due to the fact that I've only had mine for just under 2 months and the top has already come apart.
