Awesome product!
I have tried a lot of seals as I refinish furniture often. Polyvine is by far my favorite ever!! its amazing. its super easy to apply, it dries really fast, and seals really well. the satin is great because unlike other seals who says its satin and turn out glossy its not - its actually a nice satin finish.

Wonderful look and feel.
Very much love this product. I an amateur wood worker and have made several pieces of furniture for my wife and kids and this is my go to varnish for all visible areas. It gives the nice soft sheen and feel of a well taken care of piece of furniture. I like to apply at least two coats to get the feel and look that I want and use steel wool in between the coats. Each coat beyond the 2nd just improves the look and feel and I will typically do three coats. It is more expensive than polyurethane and it does require more than one coat but it doesn't have the plastic look and feel that those usually give. You do need to avoid drips and pooling as it will dry white if you leave any so take a little extra time and make sure that they are taken care of before drying.

Worth every penny!
This was recommended by an artist and I love it! Much easier to apply and clean brush than paste wax. Gets into all the nooks and crannies. Initial investment high as such a large container but it goes a looonnnngggggg way!

alternative to acrylic for paper arts
I bought this Wax Finish Varnish to use on paper for book arts and mixed media; I got the idea from an article on how to finish wax batik on paper for book covers. It looks like a satin acrylic when dry, and after a few layers you can buff it to a nice waxy sheen.Because it's quite thin, you'll need to put on more coats than you could with a thicker acrylic (like Golden soft gel gloss). I tried it at 100% and also mixed 50/50 with water; either way, brush marks were easy to hide and it dries nice and level. However, if the decorated paper is prone to bleeding, or the batik'd paper has some wax left on it, use it at full strength. (Batik's paper with dye just ran like crazy when re-wet, so I recommend FW Acrylic Inks.) For papers that bleed a lot, you may need to use a layer of acrylic spray first to fix the color in place.Although it's not designed for paper, the manufacturer says that after fully drying (6-7 days), the product is inert and should not yellow paper. I plan to also use it for other mixed media work, with a UV protected added last.

I ordered this product twice. the last bottle...this order is turning a milky white ...did not shake...used as directed...had to redo the furniture. Very disappointed because 1st bottle worked fine.
