Works well, accurate, and the solution range is on your strip bottle not the solution
Worked well with my Contour Next One meter. I used the Level 1 (Low) control solution and got a result within the expected range. For those unfamiliar with how calibration testing works: the control solution itself doesn’t show the range — it depends on the test strip code, which is printed on your strip vial. In my case, the strip code was 7313, so the expected range for Level 1 (Low) is 38–48 mg/dL. If I had used the Level 2 (Normal) solution with the same code, the expected range would be 114–142 mg/dL. A few quick notes: This solution is designed specifically for use with Contour Next meters and test strips — don’t use it with other brands. Shelf life: unopened = 18 months, opened = good for 6 months after first use. Always check the code on your test strips to confirm the correct control ranges. Overall, this solution is accurate and reliable for verifying meter performance.

Test you glucose tester
This seemed to work for the glucose tester we have. You put a drop on wax paper and use the control solution instead of your blood. The tricky part comes by knowing the value that you should receive when using the drops. The value for level 1 and level 2 is printed on the test strip bottle. I had bought the level 1 drops which is for testing the low end; 38-47 mg/dl. I wish I had bought level 2 drops, 111-138 mg/dl. You could use level 1 and 2 for testing which would be the very best thing to do to confirm your tester and strips are all provided accurate data.

When you need to know if your meter is working correctly
I have a cgm and often need to check a reading, so I use the finger stick, but is the meter good? Meters wear out around 5 years , and the test solution check the accuracy of the meter. Strongly recommend getting a bottle of the test solution and checking your meter and strips. If you are diabetic, you have to be correct.

Make sure you receive.......
the Level that you bought. There are Level-1 and Level 2 for testing your meter. Check that your meter is set to the same L-1 or L2 . Same as the Level printed on the bottle. Otherwise your results will be out of wack.

Works great!
Be sure you pay attention to what it says on the label. Once opened, you must use within a certain amount of time. It’s best to write down the date you open it on the bottle. Always check your vial when you first open a new one with the control solution to make sure your strips are still viable.

Buyer beware.
Purchased and arrived on time. But expires in just a few months. I doubt I will use maybe one box of test strips before this bottle expires. Rather costly for such a short expiration date. It does work properly and does calibrate the machine to the test strips. It just may not have as long a shelf life as needed.
