Scosche Compatible with Select 2017-2021 Ford F-250 - 550 Super Duty and 2018-2021 Expedition ProClip XL Surface Mount with MagicMount PCXLFD02

The ProClip XL Surface Dash Mount is an excellent solution for those needing a secure and stable phone/tablet mount without having to resort to adhesives or destructive attachment methods (screws). No more suction cups that don’t hold, bean bags that slide around, or adhesives that look like crap and are not easily removed.The ProClip XL Surface Dash Mount is a mounting base only, and requires additional hardware (available) that you select based on your particular device and application. This one came with the MagicMount Pro XL Extra Large Magnetic Mount, which I did not use for (2) reasons: (1) the MagicMount Pro XL Extra Large Magnetic attaches directly to the Dash Mount with adhesive, and does not allow for angular adjustment of the device for better viewing, and (2) the steel disc that attaches to the back side of the phone (that’s what the magnet holds onto) interferes with my iPhone’s wireless charger. Consequently I cobbled together a Frankenstein-like combination of spare parts from an old swiveling phone holder, and attached that directly to the Pro XL Dash Mount with mounting tape and heat-shrink tubing.NOTE: if your vehicle has a steering column-mounted shift lever, be cognizant of potential interference between your device and the shift lever (when selecting your device mount).

Thus far (one week) on a nearly cross country trip, the mount has been great! Having had issues in the past with various other styles of mounts for my phone. I found suction cups often fall off, be it due to changes in seasonal temperature or bouncing on the road.I no longer wanted to use an AC vent clip, 2hich either blocked the cool air or over heated phone from hot air.The option of the magnet mount has been a good choice.However, be aware you only recieve one piece for that attaches to the back of your phone. I personally have more than one phone case that I use based on my activities, plus if my spouse was to want to use the mount for her phone when using the car she can not.I will have to inquire with the company about obtaining additional metal plates.This mount is a very good choice

Installed cell phone holder/charger in a 2018 F150 Lariat. I was able to connect the phone charger power cable to the OBD2 port using a OBD2/USB adapter with an inline on/off switch, routing most of the wire behind the dash for a clean professional look.

Excellent product and installation takes less than 60 seconds. The magnets are strong enough 99% of the time. When going off-road the phone will slide out of place and possibly fall off… but for “typical” driving this can’t be beat 💯

Don't bother with the magnets if you have a case - yes even a magsafe case...Of course it wouldn't work with any case...but with a the question asked and answered about magsafe - I thought I'd give it a try - This is a great try...but a big miss with the magnet. I have an official magsafe case on the iphone13 pro - and it will stay on...until the first small little bump in the road. Slides right off. Pretty solid with the case off - but I'm not taking my case off each time I want to mount hold the phone on the mount - defeats the point. Wish there was an option to buy just a different head - I'll get the grip charge head and just use that. Back it goes and order the different one.Needs a redesign for a full on Magsafe mount - or don't bother.I may change my mind with the grip head - I like the position of where the phone will sit - and the mounting system that doesn't take a vent - or the CD slot...but useless if the phone won't stay on.

Will never buy another phone mount. Great product!
