Good product but the metal quality could be better - more sturdy and durable. The funnel is very delicate - have to be very careful whilst washing/cleaning as it can get damaged easily. Hence it seems they have provided with an extra piece in case this gets damaged.

Build quality: 3.5/5 ... The outer finish is smooth. The inner finish is a bit rough but better than my 12-cupper. The filter basket is not deep enough so you can't put as much coffee as a 9-cup pot needs. But you can vary water volume and take it off the flame earlier to get a stronger brew. The filter basket has a little slack sitting in the lower chamber but this has not created any brewing issues. Be careful how and where you hold the handle as there is a metal spot close to the upper chamber that can touch your finger and give you a nasty surprise. The handle is thicker than my 12-cupper and looks and feels sturdier. The top lid has a bit of slack but this doesn't affect performance. It's a QC issue. Bialetti says they use food-grade aluminium. But there's no such information here. Hopefully, this is food grade aluminium too.Coffee quality: 4/5 ... No crema. That's a big disappointment but you get pretty strong brew. I used freshly ground beans from CCD. The beans themselves are not fresh but they are better than coffee powder which oxidises faster and loses freshness in just a few days. Take the pot off the flame when the stream from the top spout starts arcing outwards and immediately cool it. In the video, I was a bit late as I was holding the phone with one hand and turning off the stove-knob with the other.Should you buy it or not: Yes, if you don't want to pay around 5 times more for a Bialetti (like me) but the law of diminishing returns applies here too. For 5 or 6 times more, you won't get 5 or 6 times better coffee but my guess is that you will definitely get coffee that is around 20-30% better. Of course, a Bialetti looks so much better. The handle has a no-burn design and all the YouTube videos suggest you get lots of crema. Sigh. Someday. The metal straw like part coming down from the basket into the water compartment broke off after 3 months of using.Does not make 450 ml of coffee for sure.Despite using right quantity of coffee and water, no tamping, sometimes the water leaks out of the compartment in the brewing process leaving you with hardly any water to get coffee in the top compartment.A problematic piece of equipment.

It's an amazing product.. easy to use and clean.. It makes excellent coffee too.. A very good buy.. thank you..
