InSinkEratorF-GN1100BC Contemporary Instant Hot Water Dispenser-Faucet Only, Brushed Chrome

Poorly Designed Difficult To Install
Where to start with this thing? This is the third one of these I have bought. I have Insinkerator's hot water dispenser and an RO water filtration system. It only makes sense to have a double faucet like this to dispense both hot and cold filtered water. Since I am stuck with Insinkerator I really don't have any other choices. Both of the previous units I have bought have leaked from the handle pivots and the faucet itself and the chrome has peeled off. The handles swing so far that they hit the backsplash on my sink. I ended up having to mount it backwards because of this. The Insinkerator designers know that this will be installed through a sprayer hole typically and that there isn't much room for the handles to swing. But they do it anyway. Then there's the installation process. I think most kitchens these days have a pretty deep sink. The space where this unit installs is up behind the sink. In my case, I could barely even see it. They give you this crappy tool with a hex on one end and a hole through the other where you're supposed to stick a screwdriver through it to tighten it down. There is no room to swing a screwdriver behind my sink! There's a long #12 threaded stud sticking down about six inches that I'm supposed to push a metal plate thing up onto followed by the #12 nut they provide. I can't really even get one hand up there to hold the ring while I start the nut. I ended up using some gorilla tape to hold it up there. Getting the nut started was another nightmare. And once started, getting it to tighten was a horrible experience. Their crappy tool was hidden behind my sink while it was on the nut. No way to swing a screwdriver in there. More gorilla tape to cram it into a 1/2" socket on an extension and wrap tape around it until I could tighten the nut with my 1/4" drive ratchet. This whole process took me six hours! Hey Insinkerator, your faucet is a lousy design!1. Your handles swing too far and hit my backsplash2. The seals around your valve handles are prone to leaking3. Your chrome finish peels off after a few years4. Your mounting system is a nightmare to install5. Your provided tool is junkFor $350 I expected a lot more.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE FAUCET ONLY, NO HEATER
I should have read the description more carefully to see that the heater is not included. Had to return. Bought another one that included the heater, and it was actually a little cheaper.

Open box had one piece missing
Open box had one piece missing, but luckily we were able to use the missing part from our old hot water dispenser. Otherwise, everything was brand new and works perfectly.

Attractive
I needed to replace my 20 plus year old InSinkErator hot water only faucet. I was shocked to find these to be so expensive. Especially if you want a gold color. But white matched just fine and after checking the price for a few weeks, I finally found it on sale. This wasn't something I could do myself, so hired a plumber to install. Seems he had quite a time getting it in place, but now that it's done, it looks very nice. Have found when you pull the lever toward you, water comes out slowly. If you want it to come faster, you can push it back and it pours quickly. After looking at so many faucets, all very pricey, I like this style the best. Hope it lasts as long as the previous faucet did.

Just what my wife wanted
This hot water faucet works perfectly with the Insink Erator hot water tank. Other than being expensive and French Gold instead of Brushed gold, it’s great and has made my wife happy!

Replacement for the previous one I had
I had this exact model previously, and it gave out at 5 years and 1 month (has a 5 year warranty). Anyway, I bought this one to replace it. It installed easily, and I really didn't have any problems getting it to work. This model has no threaded tubing - Instead, it uses a metal brace that connects to the bottom of the unit underneath the cabinet, and it attaches to the dispenser with a nut. It is the only model that works with our granite counter tops, and the others with threaded plastic won't fit through the hole in the counter. I believe the first review that mentions the threaded plastic might be for an older model, or a different one entirely, but I've had this for 5 years previously and it was the same design both times.I recommend this product if you have granite countertops like ours (deep, with a narrow hole). Otherwise, go with one of the cheaper models that come with both the dispenser and the tank, as it is a better value. It will not last forever (the handle broke on our previous one, wouldn't turn off the water), but I don't think any dispenser will, as they all seem to have a shelf life of 3-5 years. I'm sure they could build them to last, but simply don't, so know that you will need to replace these in the future at some point.

Cold water spout doesn’t stay down
Everything about this faucet is great except the fact that the cold water lever won’t stay on. It initially stayed down (so you don’t have to hold it on) but after a few weeks it wouldn’t. Now I have to hold it down with a cup (see photo) in order to fill a pitcher of water.

love it
Bought it long time ago and still enjoy it! Definely love it! At any time, hot, cool or warm water, just so easy to get! Especially during the pandemic. It's a easy and safe way to sanitize things.

HOT SPUTTERING
The nozzle has been sputtering. the plumber tried to adjust it and when he called the INSINERATOR help line the suggestion was to wait till a tech from the company could come up to see to it. That would be months down the road. I would like to return it, very disappointing however buying from Amazon won't give me that option at this date. It has been a few months, not a year .I would stay away from this product.

As advertised and works well
This item came as advertised and it was fairly easy to switch out the old one with an extra set of hands. The problem is that these are pricey taps and are more expensive than they should be for after market repair of insinkerator system.

Great idea, inconsistent quality.
Bought to replace an identical existing tap that had started to leak from the handles. Followed all install instructions: replacement leaked from the spout instead 🙄 would think given the price point they could get it right.

A nice addition to a kitchen.
This is a replacement for the same part that I had in place for several years. Its too bad that I had to replace it after 5 years, but i guess with the continued use, this is a good life span for the spout.
