WWF WrestleMania X8

Wrestlemania 18 was a special and fun Wrestlemania. The Rock and Hogan match was off the hook. It should have gone on last. It was one of the best matches in wrestling history. I think it would have been even bigger if it was Stone Cold vs Hulk but I really liked Stone Cold working with Hall. I thought those two were perfect to work together. I enjoyed their match. A lot of people didn't think it was so good but I liked it. I thought Hall and Stone Cold delivered.A big match was Undertaker vs Ric Flair. I give Taker credit for helping Flair regain some confidence as Flair was depressed at the time and thought his wrestling days were over. They put on an awesome match. Flair put everything he had into the match and I thought it was a big match for him. Taker always comes through at Wrestlemania and Flair was the perfect guy to work with.Two of the things I liked was DDP and RVD both picking up some gold. DDP became The European Champion and they heavily buried him when he came over from WCW but this gave him a Wrestlemania moment he won a strap against a good wrestler in Christian. RVD took the IC strap and he certainly always deserves to win gold and he is a very popular wrestler and the hero's need to win at Mania.Kurt Angle and Kane put on a great match. Kane is a great wrestler and Angle can have a five star match with anyone. I liked Triple H and Jericho match. I think Jericho should have won though. I am just a Jericho fan and was so happy to see him finally win the title and have a nice brief run as champ. I think the show needed to close out with Hulk and Rock.In the end we were treated to a lot of the wrestling legends of the 90's when wrestling was big from WCW and ECW like The NWO, DDP, Booker T, Ric Flair, RVD come in and get their Wrestlemania moments. This Wrestlemania will be remembered for Hulk and The Rock but there were a lot of other great matches on the card and it was an entertaining Wrestlemania. I confess I wanted to see Stone Cold wrestle Hogan and defeat him but The Rock vs Hogan has to be one of the biggest matches in wrestling history. It was awesome cheers and enjoy!

WrestleMaina X8 was a great PPV. It was just as good as X7 was a year before.Rob Van Dam vs Wlliam Regal- Ive always wanted to see RVD wrestle live and never got the chance. He is such a great talent and its too bad he was kept down for so long in his early WWE run for the world title. I'll admit he screwed it up after winning the world title though. Yes, I know this was for the intercontinental title. Good match.DDP vs Christian- Christian always talked better then he wrestled, expect in ladder matches. DDP wins with a diamond cutter in a short match.Goldust vs Maven- Decent hardcore match but nothing speical. The usual run ins.Kurt Angle vs Kane: Good match, Angle wins.Ric Flair vs Undertaker: A good street fight but very short. Flair can still out perform the WWE locker despite his advanced age.Booker T vs Edge- Edge is the hometown hero. Need I say more?Steve Austin vs Scott Hall: Both men would leave WWE soon after this match took place. Hall was in rough shape for a long time but he looks to have cleaned himself up pretty good for this match. Not a great match like you'd expect if both men were in there prime.Dudley Boyz vs Hardy Boyz vs APA vs Billy and Chuck- Decent match but nothing to exciting.Hulk Hogan vs The Rock: The match everyone was waiting for. Rock can wrestle but Hulk is a better showman, although Hulk can wrestle a good match sometimes. A good match but alot of punches thrown never connected and some moves looked fake. Both men shake hands afterwards. I remember the next night on Raw when Hogan addressed the crowd. Powerful stuff.Trish vs Jazz vs Lita: Ill admit these ladys have talent but I still dont watch women's wrestling.HHH vs Jericho- Of course Triple H was going win the title back. Like it would have been any different in this era of the WWE. Its too bad Triple H hated Jericho because I would have love to see Jericho win anther world title. He has returned and maybe its in his future...just maybe.Great WrestleMaina and WWE hasnt slowed down the pace to put on a great one every year.

I only started to watch the WWF in 2001. I started to watch it when the Alliance was in the WWF.Vince McMahon bought in the nWo as an leathal dose of poison to the WWF, but Hollywood Hulk Hogan was poison to the nWo. After WrestleManiam, Hulk Hogan resigned from the nWo.Possibly the best WrestleMania ever! The Matches were:Intercontinental ChampionshipWilliam Regal Vs. RVD (4/10) A great way to start WrestleMania!European ChampionshipDDP vs. Christian (2/10) Get that crybaby Christian a diaper!Hardcore ChampionshipMaven Vs. Goldust (5/10) Unique Championship. The Hardcore Belt was passed to 4 people during the show.Edge Vs. Booker T (5/10)Kane Vs. Kurt Angle (6/10) Great Match, but the big red machine didn't win.Ric Flair Vs. Undertaker (7/10) Ric Flair gave it all in this match-up, but the deadman won.Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Scott Hall (4/10) Scott Hall had Kevin Nash down at ringside to help him beat Austin, but to no avail.WWF Tag Team ChampionshipBilly and Chuck Vs. Dudley Boyz Vs. Hardy Boyz vs. APA(6/10)Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock (10/10) Truly, The match of the year!Triple Threat Match for the Women's ChampionshipJazz Vs. Lita Vs.
