good temporary solution to knee pain.
At first we could not get the thick latigo, with the even thicker fasteners in them, to pass through the space they needed to go, under the 'bar'. But, we figured out that we could remove the bar using the Allen wrench (which is necessary, but NOT INCLUDED!!! take note), to open it, put the latigo in, then reclose with Allen screw. So, we WERE able to use them for a week of very hard riding. they held up fine, althought the padding for the foot is kind of cheap, and a bit slippery. my foot slid out on a couple of somewhat critical times. But, being able to position the stirrup at ANY angle, and make it so that one was more turned out than the other , (to accomodate my bad left knee), was a plus. For long term use, I'd want a beefier stirrup, but for use with a saddle (like on a rental horse) that might not be well turned, it was a good solution.

Miracle for sore knees!
Got these for my husband to use because even 30 minutes of riding will make his knees stiff. Recently he injured his knee so now the stiff knees turns into pain even on short rides due to a small tear in his meniscus. I installed these tonight on the saddle and we went for a trail ride up the mountain. He rode for an hour and 15 minutes with no knee stiffness and no pain! I noticed that he did not even need to pause and take his foot out of the stirrup for relief - not even for a few seconds. These are worth gold and this was the best price that I could find. The only down side...they did not come with any allen wrenches (there are 3 different sizes on the stirrup) or instructions. However, they are pretty basic and we had allen wrenches in the tool box that worked. They are little heavier than the regular endurance stirrups due to the extra metal in the swivel mechanism.

Nice Set of Sirups
These are pretty nice stirrups. I've been using them for about three months. They fit my saddle perfect and give a stable base for mounting. I never found a need to lock them into position, because I am handicapped in a way that makes me ride with my knees instead my feet, but the option is there if you need to lock them into a set position. When I first got them, I thought my feet may get caught on the rubberized cushion since I do not have full control over my feet, but it hasn't happened. There are better stirrups out there, but these are great for the price and my limited need for a stable foot platform. Someone else will have to comment on the way they work as a platform while riding. Take care all and have fun riding.

Disappointed
The stirrups arrived with the foot pad unglued in multiple places. The quality looked poor. The wrench included only worked for one of the two bolts that need turned to adjust the stirrup position. The other wrench wasn't included. The space is incredibly difficult to get to to turn the bolt, as well. After I went through all that trouble setting the stirrups to my desired position, I realized they added an extra 3" in length to my stirrup strap and the foot position of the stirrup was wrong. So I had to get off my horse, unhook the straps from under the saddle, adjust the length, hop back on and hope it's short enough. Nope, now I need to punch new holes in the straps. Did that after locating the leather punch from where it was hiding in the barn, assembled everything again then had to figure out which swivel placement would help my knee pain. This was the whole reason I bought them. I also thought they could remain unlocked and swivel as my knees needed on the Endurance trail. But they have to be locked into place, so if you need to adjust the stirrup angle while on trail, it's a big deal and a lot of headache. I'm not using this product and am disappointed, and still have knee pain while riding.

Love them!
So far so good...definitely very comfortable and spongy on the balls of your feet. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the metal part sometimes pushes into the front of my ankle. Heels down fixes it though. Will update after our four day ride in NC coming up...

Cure for stressed arthritic knees.
Excellent product. Being able to preset the angle on my stirrups meant my knees no longer had to fight to twist the leather. This is critical when you have short legs and thick fenders on your western saddle. The wide, padded foot base allows me to fidget with my foot in the stirrups without losing my stirrup. Great on trail rides.--Tip. Use Loc Tite on the bolts. Riding loosens them without it.

They will work.
They will work. I don’t care for the foam piece your foot rest on. Seems like it will wear out over time. Might like to wrap it in leather.
