Loved the ease of installation.

I was dreading paying to have a door installed in my fireplace, and am so happy I found this option. It's simple and easy-to-install, and it looks like it belongs. I originally thought it was a bit costly for what I was getting, but given the alternative and how well everything works and looks, it was a more than fair price.

Fast shipping and arrived undamaged (unfortunately not a foregone conclusion with a large package containing glass). Doors installed easily and quickly with little more than a level and screw gun, and they look OK. But, I give 3 stars because the “sealing” quality of the doors leaves a lot to be desired. We had a set of doors prior - I couldn’t remember where we bought them and when closed they were damned near airtight. These, ever after careful adjustment, can’t do better than 1/4” gap in the middle. Also, the glass panes themselves seem thinner and less robust than those we replaced (they shattered after 7 years and burning about 14 cords). Only time will tell if they are at least as robust as the old doors they replaced and I will update if there are issues. One point in their favor compared to our old doors is these are captured at the center so they open like closet doors rather than swinging wide open.
