Swatches: A Sourcebook of Patterns with More Than 600 Fabric Designs Paperback – August 29, 2005

I purchased this book for the swatch collection and I have been rewarded with a great collection .. The book is well done and was sent over night as per my specific need.. I recommend this to anyone in the fashion world of design....

This is a beautiful book with stunning photos of fabric. As an Upholsterer this has come in quite handy. And thank you for the unsuspecting autograph!

The book is a beautiful coffee table book. The pictures are gorgeous. However, it is not very informative. This is just a book of pictures of patterned fabric swatches. There's no accompanying description of historic or fiber details for each swatch. Nor, who the textile designer is/was. The description of the book is misleading. I was looking for a book highlighting historic details, fiber type and specific weaves of fabrics. The title should really be a collection of patterns, not a sourcebook.

This book is well worth buying. I just wish that they would do a series on fabricks. It is a great reference. I was proud to add it to my reference library.

This book is more for interior decorator or a fabric designer. I'm an artist/illustrator and it wasn't exactly what I needed.My opinion : pictures could be more clear. More variety of fabrics /designs would be nice."How many swatches of vertical stripes do you need"?
