We’ve found these locks to be a great option for kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as furniture. After installing the first couple it was easy and quick to install the others. If you pay attention as you do it they install really well and have zero issues. The three things to make sure you do correctly are place the lock far enough away from any magnetic closures in your drawer or cabinet so that won’t affect it, make sure it’s aligned properly with the height and depth, and prep the surface beforehand (and let it dry completely). We love that our baby can’t pinch his fingers in any doors or drawers’ gaps as he attempts to get them open (and he tries very hard!), and also that the locks can be deactivated when the baby isn’t around. That’s been a really great feature for extended family as well. Grandparents can install them but only activate them when we come to visit, so they don’t have to deal with childproofed kitchen cabinets all the time. The locks removed well without any damage to the cabinets in our rental home when we moved recently, but we didn’t have any issues with them coming off when our baby pulled on the cabinets, even though he’s very strong for his age and size. The company was also extremely quick and helpful when I reached out with an inquiry about replacement adhesive strips for the backs. I was very impressed, especially after some less than helpful interactions with other companies whose products had issues recently. I will continue to recommend these locks from this brand to all my friends and relatives with little ones.

As long as you place the magnet holder in a discreet location and you don’t allow your toddler to see where you’ve hidden it, you’ll never have to worry about your child discovering a workaround for this specific system. The magnetic key is required to open the lock and even if your cabinet door manages to open the tiniest bit, it won’t open far enough for tiny fingers to reach through and pop the lock, as I’ve seen happen with other systems. I bought this to lock the cabinets against my cats opening them and am delighted to report that they have not managed to circumvent this system. I even installed the locks on a couple of cabinets without telling my husband and he couldn’t figure them out! He’s extremely gifted at reverse engineering things, so it was a pleasant surprise to discover they even worked well at keeping him out of the cabinet. They fit most cabinet doors and bills very well. Mine are installed in custom cabinetry and they work extremely well, no issues at all with the magnet working through solid wood. Rather than using the stick on method, we used the enclosed screws to ensure that the locks would stay in place. Using the stick on method first was very helpful in holding the lock components in place as we drilled in before placing the screws. They feel like they will last for very many years. I love that there’s a magnet holder that sticks on any surface for docking the key when it’s not needed, ensuring the magnetic key will always be readily available without ever getting lost. Highly recommend!

The magnet is very strong. I will give them that and it does work a good 95% of the time, but on occasion, the piece inside of the cabinet doesn’t raise back up to lock it and you can’t tell unless you shut it and then pull it to check it, the adhesive part is not very good. I’ve noticed a few of them after about a few weeks have started to separate from the inside of my cabinets, so I’m going to install using screws against my better judgment. I would’ve given five stars, but I was really hoping to have this be temporary and not put holes in my cabinet doors. I had to edit my review because their customer service took care of this issue instantly and sent out a new set which worked perfect to replace the parts that weren’t sticking to our cabinets the new set holds much better and opened and locks flawlessly, we never had to drill any holes!! I’m very satisfied!

I've just purchased these and installed them today. The installation process seems simple enough however you definitely need to pay attention to the depth at what you install the piece inside the cabinet. We have the cabinets where the door is outside of the cabinet and therefore the installation seems simpler than the other way. However, you almost need to install the inner cabinet piece proud so that the door is able to come close enough to lock when the cabinet is shut. I had some issues regarding my pieces being too deep by a millimeter inside of the cabinet and therefore not allowing the locking mechanism on the cabinet door to actually lock into place because it did not go deep enough inside to hook around the back of the small piece. I found this very frustrating and actually thought I installed the inner small piece backwards for a minute there when really it just literally installed a millimeter too deep. One of the pieces that came was also defective where the locking mechanism does not flip up when you attempt to lock it which is very unfortunate considering it is firmly fixed to my cabinet door right now. I'm not sure how people have a hard time with the adhesive sticking to their cabinets because once mine was put on and I realized it was not correct I absolutely have not been able to get them off. It even tells you not to test the lock until the pieces have been installed for 24 hours. Well when I was trying to get the pieces off I tried to pull as hard as I could with the door locked and still could not rip the pieces off, so points there for durability. I'm very happy with customer service response regarding the defective piece and they've been extremely accommodating in helping me out. All in all with the installation tip I gave and the excellent customer service, I would recommend this product.

First thing I like to state is on how versatile these little guys are. Thing is that most people don't have just one type of drawers or cabinets in their home, not to mention sliding doors. I have multiple items in my home that needed a slightly different method of installation each. These items were the entertainment center, a movie cabinet with a sliding door and of course the entirety of my kitchen. These babies worked on each, I just had to adjust the angle for each. Installation isn't that hard, there is a little guide that helps although it takes a bit of practice to get it right because of course, not all doors are universal. Good thing is that despite it saying you should test them or try to move them when stuck isn't entirely true. When installing I found I can with force pull them off and stick them back on without issue. Note I did this as fast as possible, after about an hour through these puppies will not come off without some real effort. Good thing is that if you royally screw up this kit comes with replacements for the tape used. With all this in mind, don't put these on a painted surface. I can bet these will strip any paint off when removed. Otherwise, when installed right they are extremely firm. I have tested one and it really took a lot of force, more force than a child can use to yank one of these suckers out. Another nice feature is that they can be "turned off" whenever they aren't needed. Overall these are great, it does take a little practice to get things just right but they go on quick, are removed fairly easily and can be re-installed in a pinch.

These in essence are amazing. My toddler can’t figure it out. I love that I can leave them unlocked during the day and switch to locked and needing the magnet to open it overnight. The down side is they don’t stick well to painted cabinets like at all. Several came broken in the package already. I really like the ones that I do have up and are sticking, I’m going to try wood glue on the back of the adhesive to see if that stays better. My toddlers ripped the stickers off the cabinets to show where to place the magnets in about 5 seconds. My solution was to place a small dot with sharpie where the magnet goes. However it entirely possible to just use the magnet and feel the pull of it To open it. I would recommend this product. Just get yourself some wood glue to go with it. It’s the only thing my toddlers CANT get into. All the other child proof locks they understand how to open. Traditional baby locks are good for babies. But once they hit 3 most kids figure out how to Open them cuz they are smarter than we think and pay attention to everything we do. Get these locks. Save your time energy and money going through different kinds. Just add some wood glue and it will work BEAUTIFULLY for your smart toddlers.

Concept is great and in most instances they installed easily - a couple of things to point out however: 1) - the plastic insert tool used to assist in mounting the door/face-side piece (DSP) does not hold the DSP tightly enough, so often the piece falls out before you can get the DSP set to the door/face... 2) - my drawers are one-piece (i.e., two sides, and a front and back) with a separate face that is mounted to the front of the drawer...because they were custom built, the height of the face and therefore the drawer opening in relation to the front piece of the drawer is inconsistent, with some of the drawers sitting well below the opening - this requires mounting the DSP well above the front piece of the drawer, allowing less than full adhesion of the two-sided tape...a fix would be to glue in a small block to the top of the drawer front piece so the tape is fully adhered - I'll wait and test the current strength of the mounting before I go to that trouble... 3) - my door/face pull hardware is mounted in differing places so that I had to mount the DSP's in sort of random places to avoid the screw heads holding the hardware on to the door/face...since one of the attributes of the product is that it is invisible from the front, the downside for me is that I will not be able to remember exactly where the DSP is located when I go to unlock the door with the magnet! Maybe I can figure out how to unobtrusively mark the location... It is a really great product that needs a bit of care when installing...be interesting to see if the adhesive lasts...the strength of the magnets is terrific - some of my doors/faces are probably around 1.5" total depth and the magnets still work well...the mounting tool supplied by Ella (they say they are the only ones providing it), though it could hold things better, is very useful if used gently...

Bon pour empêcher les enfants de prendre des produits ménagers, pour nous c'est notre gros matou Zeus qui aime aller grignoter les brosses sous l'évier de cuisine. Il arrivait à ouvrir les portes. Il n'y arrive plus et nous boude, jusqu'au lunch😉. On installe avec les collants et le gabarit, une fois collé en place, on peut visser le tout ,, les trous sont pré percés et les collants tiennent le crochet assez fortement que nous n'avons pas vissé nos crochets installés. Tout est magnétique et la clé peut se camoufler comme si c'était une poignée d'armoire ou tirour ou encore une decoration. Nous vous recommandons.

Muy recomendable, fácil de instalar, mi hija de 1 año y 6 meses ya no se mete tanto a la cocina, debido a que le gustaba abrir cajones y sacar las cosas de ahí. Me gusta que también puedes bloquear el seguro, para que no tengas que estar usando siempre el imán cuando tú hijo/a no ande cerca de ahí.

Si lo logras instalar bien funciona súper bien. La cosa es hacerlo con paciencia y además reforzar con otro pegamento. El que te incluye puede despegarse si jalas con fuerza las puertas o si esta en una zona con calor. Las puertas alado de mi estufa con el calor hacían que se despegara.
