Practice test
Love this study guide! Digital and print options. The practice test is helpful.

Just adequate
This study guide is fine. There is a lot of information in it that is not necessary for the test. There is also information that you need to know that is not in the book. So, it is a good starting place, but it should not be your only sturdy guide. The practice test is noticeably easier than the actual test. Also, don't buy this and the flash cards from the same company. It is exactly the same information presented in the same style. One is in a book and one is on flashcards; that is the only difference.

I am rather dissapointed with the book...while some of the information is likely useful (been in the library field about 10 years so much of the common library info I knew) some is so outdated. The book makes mention of CD Rom purchasing and relying on teleconfercing with families because not enough people are internet saavy so email is not a viable option for getting in touch with parent volunteers.WhIle the copyright date is 2014 the content isn't necessarily what I would consider to be 2014. Additionally some typos I noticed and personal opinions left me feeling agrumentstive about some answers, also never have I met a school librarian that was tasked with awarding grades. If you are already familiar with library procedures I would suggest spending the $20 to take the practice exam right from praxis itself and go from there to see what study material you would want to purchase. Too expensive for what it isUpdate: Took the exam yesterday and I can say with 100% truth this book was not helpful. The information on the exam far differed from what was within the book...specific questions on literary awards, authors, standards, lesson planning, etc. Nothing like the book in any respect...the book seems to have used a very outdated version of the exam. Take the praxis sample test on their site for $20 and determine from that what you need to study, save yourself some money and study the right material.

I have found this booklet to be very easy to follow
As a 20 plus year veteran teacher looking for a career change, I have found this booklet to be very easy to follow. To have many of the teaching methodologies that I'm familiar with covered in this guide helps to make the connections to the new material. As a library specialist facilitating the importance of media literacy is as meaningful as any other subject matter. This guide has clear points to make this transfer of information meaningful. My goal is to take the test in September and I'm confident that with the help of this study guide I will be successful.

I will not have to use this book for a few months. I purchased it so I would have it ready when the time comes. The questions in the practice test look relevant and important. Text is crisp and clear and the book seems to have good advice on how to take the test.

The price is excellent for the amount of knowledge it has.
I like the way it shows you the definitions of each highlighted section and provides practice test questions
