Bright, Compact, and Easy to Use
Perfect for small boats or backup lighting. Easy to mount, very bright, and runs a long time on batteries. Portable and reliable—great for the price!

Perfect! Except...
Everything about this product is PERFECT except for one glaring problem. The white stern light flickers when boat vibrates. I tried everything everything under the sun too fix this problem and I think I found the solution. You have to remove the rubber gasket seal where you screw the battery cap. Then you have to screw it VERY tight. I think the problem with flickering is due to poor or loose contact. Tightening strongly with the rubber gasket still in on doesn’t work. You have to remove it. Unfortunately this also removes the water seal so it’s no longer water proof. Other than that, the LED lights are very bright considering they run on AAA. They’re also very solid. The clamp is metal. This is an upgrade from their previous models which had plastic clamps that broke. I use mine on a 14’ aluminum Loweline and it suits my needs.

Bait and switch picture, short pole, bolts need to be cut
First thing, the photo for this item shows a telescoping masthead light when the fixed pole version is selected. This is very misleading.Also the pole is too short (dosent clear your head/body to provide 360° coverage when sitting). It is a plastic design so it's not very durable. Care needs to be taken when attaching the pole to the mounting bracket as to not crack/crush it with the two bolts. That bring me to the next issue...Secondly, the two bolts that attach the pole to the mounting bracket are way too long. You will need to cut/grind them down flush, or just short of the clamp surface, so they won't damage your boat when mounted. The mounts need to be tightened down as hard as possible on a motorboat to avoid slipping/falling off.Thirdly, the description States it meets USCG requirements, but it does not list the nautical mile distance that the USCG rates them for.I have only used these lights 6-8 times in the past year for 5-30 minutes each time with the same set of batteries.Overall this item is an inexpensive and quick way to make your small boat legal after sunset.

Easy to install and flexible for different style boats.

Disappointed in quality. Something made for safety , used once and had problems every time.
Clip broke off the base and we had to secure with a zip tie.The on/off buttons don’t always work and one clicks but does not work at all.
