OmnigridOmnigrip 8-1/2" x 24" Non-Slip Rectangle Quilting Ruler

I already had a couple smaller Omnigrid rulers, as well as one Omnigrip, and I really liked the multiple markings. I have another brand for my 6.5x24 inch ruler, but it has fewer markings, and does not have any grip. I added some silicone rubber grips and a big suction cup handle to my previous ruler, which helped, but I still prefer this Omnigrip ruler. I use my 6.5x24 inch ruler a lot for larger cuts and always wish I could use the Omnigrid rulers instead since they are far better in my opinion, so I decided to remedy the situation and buy this one (8.5x24).Grip- Although this ruler does have some grip, I'm sure it's still possible that it could move depending on how you use it. I haven't had any issues with it shifting on me so far, and even with the added silicone ruler grips and handle on my older ruler, the Omnigrip still stays in place better with no added support.Markings- I love how many markings are included on this ruler. There are multiple hatch marks all the way down and across the ruler at each 1/8 inch mark, so it's easy to line up the ruler with any measurement, not just 1/2 inch or 1 inch cuts. There are also numbered markings at the top and bottom of the ruler for both 1/2 inch and 1 inch increments that go from right to left and from left to right, making it easy to measure from either side of the ruler and useful for both right handed or left handed individuals.Overall, I really love this ruler so far, and I'm so glad I bought it. I had been hesitant because I wasn't sure I really *needed* another ruler and wondered if it would really make enough difference to be worth it. And at least for me, it's definitely worth it! If I purchase any more rulers in the future, they'll definitely be Omnigrip.

This is one of the best product in the market. I bought it for my wife’s sewing classes and all the students loved it, they said it made their work so much more easier. The only downside was the poor packaging for delivery, the omnigrip quilters rule is a fragile item and should have been bubble wrapped at least. I ordered 4 and 1 was broken, because they were loosely packed in a spacious box with nothing to buffer any impact on it. However Amazon responded quickly to my complaint and immediately sent a replacement. Omnigrip ruler is the best and I will always recommend it, my wife have been using her first one for over 7 years and it’s still in extremely good condition, that’s why she recommends it for her students.

I really like the ease of reading this ruler. I think it is more accurate because the marked lines are thinner. My go to for trimming my quilts.

Holy moly, this is a big ruler! I mean, it was stated clearly what the size was but I just didn't really think about it. Until I got it in the mail and was like, "whoa! This thing is huge!" But...it's long enough to cut long pieces of fabric without having to move it. It seems very sturdy and has a hole in it so it can be hung up. I might order a bit of a smaller one, but I'm definitely glad I have this one.

I ordered this, looking for a longer ruler to cut my material for making masks. Since it's 24 inches long, I don't have to keep shifting it to cut the material, and it's 8.5 inches wide, which is exactly the width of the mask material, using the pattern I have. And it's heavy enough to hold it's position, while still being easy enough to move and place. It's perfect! I wouldn't change a thing!

As always, Omnigrid works well, is clearly marked and doesn’t slip! It’s probably my 10th ruler purchased from them.

Do you absolutely need this ruler? NO. BUT it is great to have to use only one ruler for longer pieces of yardage. It is supposed to be no slip but I add those no-slip dots to all of my rulers so I can't attest to that. I am glad I purchased this item.

Durable product, clear markings, very happy.

Great product haven't stopped using it worth every penny and a great size and it's non slip . A must for serious quilters

Just what I wanted. The size is perfect for using with my suction gripper. I can cut larger areas easily and safely with the rotary blade. Although I have a smaller ruler this larger one will be really great for larger projects.
