These water shoes were ALMOST perfect. Loved the overall design and materials - sturdy rubber sole, wider toe box, easy toggle for tightening, neon colored accents. The only deal breaker was the back of the shoe. It came up far too high and my son complained that it irritated the area above his heel when he walked. Such a disappointment these shoes didn't work. Would have been great to wear on the boat.

I ordered two pairs of these shoes for my son last year, and I've ordered two pairs this summer as well. My son is currently wearing a size 2.5-3 in Plae shoes but he's able to wear a size 3 in these without them slipping off but with plenty of room to grow into. This part of the review refers to the navy and orange style (See update#2 below for specifics on the blue with glow in the dark sole):The good is that they are stylish, comfortable and easy to put on for kids with wide feet. They are lightweight enough for my son to wear in the pool, but also have enough traction on the bottom for playing in the splash pad and climbing on water slides at camp. They work well for the beach too, but the sand is hard to clean out.The bad is that first pair I bought last year got fuzzy from putting them in the dryer. I'd need to dry them, because my son's wet swim stuff would come home from camp and need to be washed and dried for the next day and air-drying wasn't always quick enough. So this year, I plan to buy two pairs to rotate.Update #1 (7/1/2021): The navy and orange water shoes are holding up pretty well this summer. They are still the easiest to get on/off that I've found. My son has gotten more than 10 uses out of them so far, and they are still in good condition. There is still a small amount of fuzz with air-drying, but it blends in on the navy color and can be carefully trimmed off. See the picture, and note that it is a closeup so it's less noticeable in person. I bought another major brand of water shoe, which cost a bit more, and those also have some wear after similar usage.Update #2 (7/1/2021): I guess I can't write multiple reviews for the same product listing, but I ended up buying a slightly different style from the same listing as my alternate pair for this summer. The blue with glow in the dark soles caught my eye, and I have to say that I love these and highly recommend them.I kinda debated between whether they were cool or a bit cheesy, but my son loves space and I think they are a fun style for a kid. He's not up much past dark, so I doubt we will get much use out of the glow in the dark but I also like the green color of the soles. And, they do faintly glow in a very dark room! More along the lines of glow in the dark clothing than the stylized listing photos.They are still very easy to put on and take off, but not quite as easy as the navy and orange style. So far after 5 plus uses the material looks perfect, and it's even a little bit softer than the other style. I'll update if there are any changes, but I think these might be the best water shoes I've found. And, I have tried quite a few different brands and types of water shoes for my son.

I wanted a pair of these for myself (no child) so I took a guess and ordered a Big Kid size 6. I lucked out because it fit perfectly. I usually wear a Wide width size 7 or 7.5 womens US shoe. This fit perfectly. Stretchy. Not too snug but not loose on the foot to slide around at all. It is perfect and just what i was looking for. I plan on wearing these to kayak. Will definitely buy another pair for backup. (Other watershoes I tried were a bit too snug across the top of my foot.)

Let me start by saying my son was excited to try these. He had them on for about 45-50 minutes before he finally said mommy you're gonna be soo mad at me and I responded why what happened? He replied they cut on my foot. He normally wears size 11 but got a size bigger and these are too snug. I will be returning. Very disappointed.

I bought the orange ones for myself and had to send my first pair back as they were too big, I normally wear a 38UK but ended up with a 36UK after first buying a 37UK.I bought my two sons their own pairs and they are about half a size too big for them too.They do let quite a bit of sand and rocks in through the drain holes on the bottom which is annoying after you get enough in there but it’s to be expected with holes in the bottoms of the shoes.They’re awesome shoes though, good kayaking shoes for us all for the price!

Shoes were comfortable for my kids to wear all day but were loose and allowed a lot of sand in the shoe. Also the design where the top comes across captures a lot of sand. I got the adult size in the brand and they fit great and didn’t let sand in.

This is our second pair, he outgrew the first pair before he wore them out. My eight year old uses them just like sneakers, easy to put on and get out the door. He hikes in them, they are like being barefoot. I know they are meant to be water shoes but he loves them so much. He has long narrow feet and they are a perfect fit. The downside is he doesn't wear socks with them so they get super stinky. I throw them in the washing machine with towels and a little bleach and they are fine for another two weeks. They are true to US size. We bought the grey and orange and the dark blue. Great for summertime and the pool too.

Despite being prime, shipping for these shoes took almost 2 weeks - but they are exactly as pictured, and worth waiting for! The fit is perfect (I based it off of his foot measurement in inches per the chart), the material is lightweight, and well sewn with nice finishing. The colors are vibrant and true to picture. Time will tell how they hold up to a rough and tough 10-year-old boy and his fun summer adventures.
