Back in 1968 British Television started to import these shows from America.The good thing was there was a lot of shows and products to select from so they could pick the best and leave the dross, and shows that would not travel well to British Children.This was a brilliant show and much loved and remembered by the viewers now.The Banana Splits had everything. From that wonderful Tra La, La intro tune to the two good cartoon adventures, The Arabian Nights and The Three Muskateers and a live action, cliff hanger type, show Mysterious Island. (Remember Chango?) The Banana Splits were funny, topical and I can still quote their jokes after watching them 39 years ago.(for example? Dear Drooper what's the must dangerous part of a car. Mad, Goofy, Off the Wall and Colourful.You can pick up a copy of the series for pennies and it makes a great gift for anyone who remembers themRecommended.
