St. Joseph Daily And Sunday Missals Bonded Leather – May 15, 2012

While attending the Latin Mass I got spoiled by having a personal Missal, and decided to get a post Vatican II Missal to have for the more frequent English language Masses that I attend. The Catholic Book Publishing Company really did a great job in designing and publishing this set, and I plan to continue to use it when the liturgy changes in late November by getting updated response cards and putting them into the Missals, since the readings won't change.The full color prints are the same ones I recall as a child in my mother's Missal, and the updated Rosary Luminous Mysteries are in there too. The size of each book is convenient and not at all obtrusive, and you don't need a gorilla grip to keep the book open. The binding and zip-close feature are really nice, and give you a place to keep a couple of novena pamphlets or holy cards in the front or back of the Missal if you use those for devotions as well. Including the slip case for storage was a great touch, too; that way, you can keep the set of three in one place where they won't be likely to get scattered through the house and unavailable when you're dashing out the house to go to church. Amazon's price was a little cheaper than the bookstore near here, but if you want the set right away, go for upgraded shipping!

Wonderful addition to Mass. Appear to be very durable. I found navigation easy to figure out in a short time, but I know there's a separate guide that may be handy for some. I like the added commentaries before the readings, the added prayers in the back, and some history of Feast days. A little expensive perhaps, but based on other products from this publisher I've had for MANY years, I'm confident this set will be with me for a long time.

Bought as a gift for my daughter and she was absolutely thrilled! The set is beautiful and extremely well made. Should last her lifetime.

This is an excellent collection of missals. The red one for Sundays, the other two for Advent to Pentecost, and Pentecost to Advent. The instructions and ‘use guides’ help to make them very user friendly; although, I have found it difficult to find the correct antiphons, and supplementary prayer (in the daily missals only) for when there are feasts and memorials for various occasions, but the Ordinary Time weeks 1-34 are easy to follow along with and the print is right-sized for older eyes. The pages are quite thin and delicate. I own zippered book covers for carrying them to and from mass each day. If you have these resources, you will never need the missals you church may provide, except for the musical selections and material for feasts and memorial masses that honor various saints and other occasions.

This is sensational; a genuine value. The three volumes come in an attractive case for display. Each leather-bound volume has zipper closure with gold cross pull and two ribbon markers. The presentation is nothing short of elegant. It is a beauty to behold and welcome addition to any serious Catholic library.Interiorly, the print is large, dark and easily legible. The paper has a sturdy thickness and it appears well-bound. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Through. Takes time to discover how it works in relation to what the priest is going to say. Needs more page markers for pre setup.

Can another purchaser please help? Referring to Vol II - Pentecost to Advent, I cannot seem to find, for example, the correct Entrance Antiphon, Collect, Prayer Over The Offerings, Communion Antiphon and Prayer After Communion for say, "Tuesday of the 18th Week in Ordinary Time - Year I" on page 187.Where are they?The Antiphons and Prayers for Ordinary Time for the 18th Week on page 40 does not seem to be correct; it is different from my misselette? Please advise where I am going wrong.

This is a beautiful product but it took two months to be delivered. So don’t buy it if you need it in a hurry. But patience’s is a virtue and it’s worth the wait

Great thanks to the Government of Japan, who provides commodity coupon points as an incentive to the promotion of their individual number card, I was able to secure two sets of these weekday and Sunday missals almost free of charge. Unlike the existing one-volume weekday missal and weekend one, they are printed in large fonts, easy for senior citizens to read. Missals are indispensable for the Catholic faithful to prepare themselves for next liturgical celebrations.

Very happy. Three ribbons in each Missal. Includes a general instruction in the front and some traditional prayers in the back. Lovely illustrations as well.

Comprehensive instruction frees us to enjoy the Spirit of The Lord in Worship, and prepares us to remember Him in receiving His Communion!
