I would think so since the manufacturer states a weight restriction up to 210 lbs. My granddaughters ages 9 and 11 love them.

Q: Does it come with the original box as shown in the picture?

Yes it does. It was also delivered in that box, without any additional wrapping. So if it is a gift, I would suggest sending it to a friend's house...to ensure the intended recipient doesn't see it.
