My go to for lion fish
Love this spear and the two stage version. Because of the handle and trigger design, allows you to focus on point of impact without worrying about angle. Have used it every weekend for two years now and recently had an issue with a trigger spring, contacted customer service and they mailed me a replacement part and diagrams to show me how to installIt.

Is not practical
Very short range. Is been in water only 2 times and is already rusted, the trigger is not working properly probably due to corrosion inside.

Sadly this is a novelty item.
I own a dive shop, and would not recommend this spear to any regular use diver. The trigger mechanism failed after the 3rd day of use. Maybe 12 lionfish shot with this spear in those three days. When seller was contacted , I was told to clean it and free it from rust. Sadly misrepresented.

Solid Spear but Handle is useless
I bought this because I hadn't ever seen a pole spear with a handle trigger before. After two uses with the trigger/handle on, I determined it worked much better without it. The reach with the the trigger is much less than without it. Works well without the handle, but it made it the same as my other pole spear but is just collapsible, making the price much too high.
