This is the best gel for my thick, curly hair - I got a new cut because this gel controls the frizz so well! It’s been completely life-changing! They better never discontinue it or I’m screwed!

I love this product so much it holds my hair perfectly, it just works so well the quality is a 10/10, it’s a bit heavyweight and sticky but it’s a gel and that’s what expected, it doesn’t dry out my hair either

Curlsmith products are one of my favorite curly hair products. This one works well but it is a bit sticky and heavier than others. It will make a crunchy curl cast that you will have to break up a bit once dry. It gives my hair a bit of that wet-look until the curl cast is softened. It has a light scent. Overall the quality is good. I would recommend when lighter products are not holding.

My 2C/3A-B curls loooooove Curlsmith products. I can't believe I'm just now discovering this. I prefer the unscented version more, but honestly, this version's scent is not that overpowering as some make it out to be. I don't know if I got lucky, but I am pretty sensitive to artificial fragrances, but this scent did not trigger a headache for me, so I am relieved. The hold is awesome. I could do a very lazy job in the shower, but my curls still come out looking defined and great! I will be sticking to this brand for as long as they keep making it.

I’ve been a ouidad cultist since forever - found it when I moved here to Florida because it was either pin my hair up or look electrified after 10 minutes outside in summer. Ouidad is my anti frizz holy grail. So I was skeptical of all this hype for curlsmith. I have long, thick curly hair.I went totally overboard in how much product I used the first time took forever to blow dry but let me say this product does the job in Florida July humidity. I carefully pin my hair up at night (and use satin pillowcases) so I can keep the curls intact for a few days & it still looked fresh the next day- in the same heat/humidity.Expensive? Yes. But so is ouidad. However I felt like this had a stronger hold/barrier in the humidity in the initial few days than ouidad. Hair looked good for over 3 days- still fresh/no frizz.I would definitely use this in the summer months & alternate with ouidad in the gentler humidity.

I love this gel. The results are undeniable. My curls look amazing and I’ve gotten so many compliments.But this tube is comes in is awful! The cap came broken. So I can’t close it so it stands with the opening facing down. Gravity would absolutely help get the product out of the tube.It’s very difficult to squeeze. So much so I purchased a separate tube squeezer but it didn’t work. It’s always a bit difficult when you’re styling your hair because your hands are wet and slippery. But I found this tube, particularly difficult to manage during styling. So much so that I can’t imagine struggling through this again and I honestly can’t wait to be done with it and hope to find something that provides similar results in better packaging. I would absolutely return if they were to improve.

I apply this to my wet hair and let it air dry and my curls always turn out perfect. You can scrunch your hair to get rid of the crunchiness and you’re left with shiny, hydrated curls. This product is gold to me. Worth the price and doesn’t leave a greasy residue which is a must for me.
