It works!
It reduced the temp of my RV cabinet by around 5 degrees with 1 coat. I added to rubberized roof sealant which isn't recommended, but still worked. It thickened the coating a decent amount like flour when baking. Planning on buying much more when I paint the rest of my RV.

Everything it’s suppose to do
This product is the game changer I was searching for. We live near a huge military airbase- with fly overs daily, along with near highway traffic. Just to make sure this product worked I took several decibel reading each day of week. After a full week after painting with Lowe’s interior Valspar reserve & mixing this product in with a concrete blender-the paint & mix expanded my paint supply. When I started to apply with a spray gun that product malfunction- I just used a 18” rough to smooth roller the mixture of this ceramic powder& paint was amazing it also dries quickly. After an hour the room was noticeably quieter. After the full week- my living room decibels was down 35-40 with the planes or traffic from highway. The kitchen/ dining room was 32-35 lower. The bathroom we did previously with door closed it was 40-45 quieter since it’s in the middle of the home. We did the walls & ceiling with this product. Also house was built in 2017 walls were a cheaper stucco plain Jane basic yellow. This product can be mixed with satins, gloss will show tiny dots like sand. We love this product with egg shell makes everything brighter too. Can’t wait to see difference with electric bill with AC & heat.

Good
Hard to mix in, but seems to help the roof be cooler!!

Really works
Used it on a vaulted ceiling with 5/8" drywall, 5" of insulation in a 7" tall bay, not vented, asphalt shingled roof, 95 degrees outside, direct sun at noon. The pictures tell the story: surface temp of ceiling painted with product is significantly cooler. Will be using mixed with primer on all ceilings and on the inside of all uninsulated exterior walls.

As advertised
Worked great in basement. Much more comfortable and perfect for tv room sound. Did find texture on stairwell to ruff. So just painted over it without additive. Still works as published just doesn’t deaden sound as much in stairwell now. I would recommend.

People mis-interpret the benefits of this product
Therma cells work great for some applications but many people seem to miss-interpret the benefits of using it.I used it on my school bus conversion's interior walls and did some testing on it. I used Rust-Oleum bedliner and did a thick two-coat application for reference. I would highly recommend a thicker coating like a bedliner for use with this product.I found that my walls were noticeably cooler after applying the coating. My 1st control was an un painted area which was too hot to hold a hand to after sitting in the sun all day, 2nd control was bed liner with no Therma Cells and then I had the area I applied it to. The second area was about 4 degrees cooler than the first but still noticeably hot to the touch. The Therma Cell area was only another 2 degrees cooler than the second, but it was not warm to the touch. My conclusion is that it seems like Thermacells are very effective at lowering the HEAT CAPACITY of a coated material, but not necessarily it's actual temperature. This means that thermacells will make the coated area a poor condutor of heat to the air around it, but won't necessarily work wonders on the actual temperature of the material itself.I'd definitely purchase this again as it seemed to cut down radient heat and touch-surface's (perceived, not really actual) temperatures noticeably.

Does not work as advised.
Very disappointed that this does not work. As a test I mixed up a batch 50/50 per the directions. Rustoleum indoor outdoor mixed surface paint. I painted four coats on half of a 4x4 metal cover. The other half got four coats of just the paint without the ceramic dust added. Let it dry between coats. Put it on my gas grill and measured the surface temperature and both painted sides. The paint with the ceramic was maybe 5 degrees cooler. Ambient temperature that day was 80 degrees. I tried with the grill on low 200 degree range and on high, 350 degree range. I tried painted side up. I let everything thing cool down and repeated the test with the painted side now facing the flames. No difference. I am bummed, I really wanted this stuff to work. The temperatures in the pictures are just to show the test procedure. Actual data was collected when I was not trying to take pictures. I rotated the plate a few times and recorded close to 50 temperature samples. Bottom line I was not able to find a significant difference between the paint with the paint with the ceramic added.

A must have been painting your homes exterior
I researched the living daylights out of this product so I knew exactly what we were getting into. The only trouble that we had was trying to find a professional painter that would agree to mix it with the paint and apply it to our home. Big strike out. We found a handyman That took no issue. He mixed it with the paint that we purchased according to the directions. We did have to buy him a new nozzle because the product did wear his nozzle down significantly. It does not look any different than if we painted without the product however it reflects/rejects/bounces back heat that would normally come from our hot Arizona sun. We purchased enough to mix with the primer that was first applied, and then mixed again the recommended amount with the paint that went over the primer. It looks truly amazing and does not provide any indication that there is anything in the paint. That really mattered because I didn’t want our home to be sparkly or have some weird additive looking effect. It just simply looks professionally beautifully painted by the handyman that did the work. I helped him throughout much of the process. I highly recommend this product. It is like having a secret barrier or shield over your home.
