Dancing Moon Colombia Nariño Whole Bean Organic Fair Trade Coffee, 12 Ounces

my daughter gifted us a monthly coffee sampler a year ago for Christmas. our favorite was a columbian narino. unfortunately, once shipping is added it's twice or more the cost of anything else. i have one cup in the morning, maybe two on the weekends, so i am not going to pay the high price. it was, however, the best coffee i ever had, certainly subjective. looked around since for another narino; tried a few with disappointing results. nowhere near the same, seems they should not even share the name. starbucks evidently used to carry but no more.tried ordering dancing moon a while back but this was unavailable. just got a small bag to try, and very pleased. it is not as good as the stump roasters fair trade organic i had before, and did taste quite different, but it is a very enjoyable cup of joe. unlike another review i do not think it was very strong. would not call it mild either...i guess middle of the road. i french press it and i notice that unlike some other coffees it does not foam up as much, don;t know why but i find that annoying.price is very reasonable if it stays this way. i will be buying the larger bag and probably will try their others.

Love this coffee! It is my second favorite to the cafe britt version. Great rich taste that makes you smile after the first sip. My only dislikes is the excessive packaging and the over sized bag the beans come in. I do however like the zip lock closing on the bag.

Good Narino, best I've tried, so far from amazon. The latest shipment was very fresh (as per date on bag) vs my last shipment. Easy re-sealable-ziploc bag. Cons: not much rich coffee odor when ground or brewed (after immediate grinding).

I wanted a strong cup of coffee. This coffee is strong. The initial taste is dark roasted with an interesting aftertaste that I can only describe as good.

Meh, nothing special about this blend.

Quality was good, but I really didn't like this type of bean. I usually like Kenyan AA, so this is probably just a personal taste issue.
