DurkeeSteak Seasoning, 26 Ounce

From what I read...this is supposed to be the same as the Tones Canadian steak seasoning I got at Sam's Club a while back. I bought a few containers of it back then before Sam's Club stopped carrying it. But this tastes nothing like it. I still have a half of container left of the TONES Canadian and was comparing it. This Durkee version has no salt in it and is an overkill on the black pepper. My steaks just tasted very peppery... none of the flavors of garlic or any of the other spices. Maybe I got a bad batch, but this isn't the same as the TONES' version which I am under the impression is made by Durkee. There was also no expiration date on this, either, so don't know how old this is. I would not buy this again.

I was very unhappy when I could not find my Tones Canadian Steak Seasoning anywhere. I emailed the company and learned this is the same thing. I use it on chicken, steak, roasted potatoes and roasted or sauteed vegetables. I love this product!

The Durkee Steak Seasoning was better than expected. will season many steaks. prompt service.

A local Hardware store stopped carrying Durkee spice, so we had to buy it here. This is the best Montreal-style steak seasoning i've tried. the large grain size adds the perfect crunch to a steaks, and the flavor is well balanced - not too much garlic or onion or heat, not too harsh of black pepper flavor. we use this on steaks, burgers, veggies (green beans especially), and roasts.

Sam's use to sell this under the label TONE for $3.99, now it is $19.49 for a container. What a profit being made.I've been using this Steak Seasoning for 15 years ($3.99 mind you) and it is the only thing that I use to season myfood with when I'm cooking. You don't need anything else, we never use salt at the table. When I say use on everythingi.e., steak, chicken, fish, salmon, shrimp, eggs. salad, vegetables - every thing.I guess I'm going to have stopped buying it, really I can not afford it any more.I would recommend it to any one, I use to stand in Sam's and when people would walk by, I'd tell them about it andmost times they would take a container and try it. I have given it to a many of people and they loved it. Just can'tafford it anymore.Happy Seasoning

Cannot do without it on meat. I even grind it and rub it in. It’s awesome!!

This is really good seasoning!We mostly use it on beef (burgers, steak, etc) but, have used it for chicken breast on the grill too.You get a TON of seasoning, but we've gotten so many compliments, I keep sharing with friends! :-)
