Perfect for what I needed, one of the few amps that offer optical connection the hdmi and Bluetooth connections are a bonus. Works well and control is easy to use but buttons are a little small so hard to use in the dark/quickly. Good sound quality but I do have to boost the volume of the surround channels for optimum listening, which is easily done via remote control. Good system overall

Just about adequate for TV sound only, definately NOT an amp to buy for serious music listening. The best part is the price, which is all you need to pay to improve awful TV speaker sound; at least this amp gives you some control and variation. Particularly useful is the ability to individually control the volume of each speaker.However, there are 3 things that are not as good as they could be:1. There is no ON/OFF button on the remote - VERY irritating, and often forgotten.2. The front facia has an annoying flashing digital display - WHO would choose to look at that - VERY distracting.3. The remote is awkwardly small with difficult to use miniature buttons. Definately room for improvement here.Overall, I did not want a sound bar, 5-speaker surround is always better, so this suits as an inexpensive solution. Connections are good using banana plugs. Three stars only because of the drawbacks which should have been better thought out in the design.

I bought this a stop gap. My old Onkyo amp finally died and it seems there is shortage of surround sound amps at the moment. Maybe they were all stuck in the Suez Canal or awaiting a truck driver abandoned by Brexit? Either way, this all there was. Sadly for me, like a missing driver, it just didn't do the job. It just doesn't provide any real surround sound, just the same sound over 5 channels. No DTS or pro-logic, just more speakers. So there you go. Not quite what it may at first seem. Lots of buzzing too. And the remote? Are you joking? Tiny, complicated, hard to read. That part must have been worth 2 euros! Perhaps my purchase was a combination of desperation, hope and the price. Mea Culpa. Caveat Emptor!
