Extremely Sharp and affordable!!
Steelhead season is on here in Indiana. I was ready with this knife. It performs amazingly!! Have this knife and some dexter knives this size as well. I would say basically same. Can't go wrong with this knife!! Great for salmon, steelhead and lake trout.

Kershaw Fish Knife
LOVE IT. I own several Kershaw knives. Knife came in a nice protective sheath. It will keep that razor sharp blade sharp. After using the 12'' for a while I just bought the 9''. All bases covered.

Good knife for the price.
I bought my first Kershaw about 35-years ago. Bought a few more Kershaw knives since. All those early knives were excellent and very, very sharp right out of the box. They resharpened easily and held an edge with the best of them. Workmanship is okay on this China made knife. The blade has a dent in it up on the curve near the cutting edge. The knife was not sharp like what use to be Kershaw's signature feature. A little disappointed considering the way Kershaw knives use to be built. After an hour of re-cutting the angle on the edge using a Lansky sharpener I did get the knife 'razor' sharp. Remains to be seen if the blade holds it's edge through a couple large fish???EDIT: Butchered two fish this week. One was 20lbs. and the other 24lbs. I have to say the Kershaw blade held the edge very well! I added another star to the rating.

great knife
Great knife very sharp! Love Kershaw knives, but this fillet knife does not have very much flex to it and still prefer my 9 inch blade for large salmon
