TimexMen's Easy Reader Watch

I love this watch!
I bought this watch after continually have problems with my fancy "do everything" computerized watch. I don't need my glasses to read it, I don't have to scroll through anything just to see the time, and if it's dark I can light up the face. The band doesn't need to be replaced every so often because it wears out and breaks, I don't have to charge it at night, and it comes on and off easily without having to fiddle with a clasp or buckle. I can just push it up my arm a little so it doesn't get wet while washing my hands. Wonderfully fuss free! I love it! Edited to add: the band was a little big for me, and I took it to a jewelry store to have one of the links removed. It fits perfectly now and this fix was well worth it.

This fit the bill for being easy to see the numbers and wearability.
The numbers are easy to read since my husband has poor eyesight. So far it is working great for him and looks good also. He likes the light up feature for nighttime.

Good watch
My husband has been buying these watches for 30 + years. Cheap but lasts a very long time. He uses them for his work watch and he will have to replace the band several times before the watch wears out. He likes the indigo light because he works in a coal mine and the light is bright enough to see by if needed. Keeps time perfectly and it will last a long time even with the abuse it takes. I can’t remember water ever damaging one that he ever had.

I like the watch itself, but the expandable band is a torture device.
I like the watch itself, the main issue I have is with the bracelet.Indiglo is IMO the best backlight on the marketThe watch is very readableIt looks good on my wristThe expandable bracelet OTOH, is very uncomfortable. It rips the hair out of my wrist and pinches my skin anytime I put it on or adjust it. I'm probably going to end up putting this watch on a different band.

Great for Dementia/Alzheimer's
Purchase for my father in law who suffers from dementia/alzheimer's and he loves it. We had purchased him a digital watch that was advertised specifically for his condition but he found it confusing. For someone who has read a standard watch their entire life this is certainly worth a try as it is easy to read and free of any confusing clutter.

Just love this watch
I have very bad vision so I'm in need of an easy to see and read watch. Yes, I'm old enough to still want to wear a watch too. I have been using this Timex brand watch for over 25 years! As I seldom take it off and I'm an active gardener, dish washing, and generally everything that's hard on a watch I do it!Every few years I manage to break a link in the watch band, crack the crystal face, or scratch it up so bad I need to replace it. I ALWAYS replace it with this exact style & brand of watch. It takes a real beating every day, I get it wet throughout the day, knock it around a lot, and I can see it easily at night due to the INDIGLO feature. Also, kind of laughable, but a lot of people ask me where I got this beautiful watch! Though made for a man, and advertised as such, it is just beautiful on me, especially as I wear bracelets with it. I had one woman, when I was in a PT rehab after my knee replacement, who asked me where I got such a beautiful bracelet and when I realized she was talking about my watch rather than my REAL bracelets I was impressed.

On its way; PERFECT WATCH
A watch is a very personal affectation, as we all carry a clock on our phones, who really needs a watch? I used to wear a watch for years and just recently have been looking (for months) for a timepiece with classic appeal so I don’t always have to dig out my phone. I looked at Diesel and Fossil as those are cool watch brands, I like their larger faces and somewhat trendy designs but didn’t want to break the bank. I work as a graphic designer and also on motorcycles so whatever I choose needs to take a beating as I plan to take it on and off all day... the expansion band seemed appropriate for this so I am looking forward to that feature. Also, never having an Indiglo watch before, I am hoping it’s bright enough to illuminate the way in pitch darkness which I bet it can do. Thirdly, the 1.5” watch face is large without being a grandfather clock so, having this trifecta, i ordered it, it arrives Friday.I don’t own the watch yet, but have given it 5 stars for the above 3 points. Once I wear it for a month, presuming I like it and keep it that long, I will report back with a follow up review!UPDATE: Feb2020.. 2 YEARS LATER...I am still wearing this every day. I did have to remove a couple links a few months in at jeweler for a decent fit. The white face performs the way I wanted, in a super dark room this lights up your way. I came across a book called A Man and His Watch, a collection of stories associated with men and their timepieces, and this exact same watch was featured along with a story that includes Bill MF Murray!! Man that guy is everywhere. Anyway, get the watch. It will probably be my sons someday.

Odd, difficult band hard to adjust
I got addicted to Indiglo years ago when spending a lot of time in a photo darkroom. My latest died after 4 years. I prefer the "bracelet" bands, but they are apparently out-of-fashion and impossible to find. So I bought this one after seeing a Timex video on how easy it is to adjust the "Perfect Fit" expansion band.Sadly, this model does not have the "Perfect Fit" band, but an old version instead. The single sheet documentation that comes with the watch has no useful info (in 10 languages), but directs you to their website for the full manual. There, you enter the model# found on the back of the watch and, sadly again, get a manual for a completely different watch. The band comes sized for Andre the Giant, so you have to remove links. Luckily, there are a few Youtube videos, made by amateurs with poor video skills. Helpful, but confusing since none of them match this watch band. Bottom line, you need special micro tools, good closeup eyesight, excellent motor skills, and lots of patience and intuition. I got the job done, but it took 1+ hours, including watching the videos and adapting their techniques to this special band with some guesswork. Still, it's a bit mangled and may not hold together. You will never figure it out without the videos.
