Godin xtsa is a beautifully crafted and finished instrument. It provides rich warm and punchy sounds from the humbuckers along with crisp bright tones in the coil tapped out of phase positions, making most tones readily available. Its piezo pickups and onboard eq give top class piezo acoustic guitar tones and at the flick of a switch provide the best synth access currently available.The thick mahogany neck and body yeild warmth and sustain but be aware that the neck is considerably wider and thicker than many standard guitars. If in your playing style you like to use your chord-hand thumb over the top of the neck for holing bass notes or muting strings, unless you have unusually large hands this could be difficult to do.If the neck suits, this guitar will get full marks but it's not cheap so I would suggest try before you buy!
