Fresh White Truffles (Tuber Magnatum Pico) 3 oz (84gr) by Taste of Truffles

These truffles were fantastic. They came well packaged and with instructions on how to keep them. I’m partial to keeping them in rice and in a sealed container in the fridge. The rice takes on the truffle aroma and can be cooked and delicious after they are all gone. They kept like this for a couple of weeks. I used what was left to make my own truffle olive oil.The communication with the seller was also flawless and I received my package quicker than expected.Try the truffle honey... it’s amazing paired with a cheese platter.

The truffle arrived on time and in good condition. It had a slight scent of truffles, but not the usual overpowering smell. One day later, I used it, but it has very tame flavor maybe 10% of normal. I know it’s a natural product, so it varies, but it was underwhelming. Not worth $20, and definitely not worth $150.

I was nervous about ordering these, but have now placed two orders -- first for a one ounce white truffle and then, because I was pleased with the first order, I went for a 2 ounce white truffle. They are shipped well and both times I received a "gift" from the seller -- first black truffle salt and second black truffle butter.The truffle themselves are fresh and aromatic. and absolutely luxurious. If you can't find truffles locally and need to have them mailed to you, YMMV, but my experiences have been great.Happy cooking!!

This was my first real expensive and perishable good purchase from an Amazon seller so I didn't really know what to expect but I was pretty happy with my delivery. The package was shipped and received on time and the truffle itself was wrapped in a paper towel, placed in a plastic bag with holes for air, on top of packing peanuts and shredded paper, and sealed in a styrofoam box. The aroma of the truffle was insane from just opening the box the first time. I got hit with a punch of truffle and could not stop sticking my face over it and inhaling deeply. The truffle was large enough that I was able to use it for multiple meals and gave my dishes a wonderful truffle aroma and flavor (my favorite was simply shaved over burrata with a good quality olive oil and sea salt). The seller also kindly included some complimentary truffle butter that also lasted me multiple uses.Reading the other reviews it seems your mileage may vary with the quality of the truffle you get. I'll admit it isn't the highest quality white truffle I've seen or eaten like the ones in the top tier Michelin restaurants but it's a great value for the price. I personally had a great experience with this truffle seller so I will be ordering when it's white truffle season again!

I’m an Old Widow on a very tight, fixed income. Tasting Truffles has been high on my Bucket list! So I bit the bullet and $225.00 later a few little balls of white Truffles came today!! I wasted no time to toast a few thin pieces from a baguette, spread some good butter on it and grated 1 small truffle on top of 2 small pieces.There was no earthy smell and no taste at all!!Did I do something wrong? And if not, WHY do ppl spend that kind of money on them?I just about cried! I have waited several Decades to taste them and there was nothing to taste!?! 😢

The truffles didn't have the flavor I was expecting. They were...fine. Just not as good as others I've had

Disappointed and sad.I had a very special Christmas eve dinner menu planned with my wife on Dec 24.A course of pasta with shaved white truffles. Simple yet unique. It had been years since we had it.Not sure if the photos show the what can only be described as "rotted" and "mushy" truffle. The smell was "repulsive".I attempted to salvage it by rinsing it off under running water but it was unusable.Quite a price to pay for garbage.

I hate writing this because I have had soooo much fun with ordering these White Truffles for myself and my kids. Taste of Truffles delivers them in a outstanding iced cooler and in a very timely manner. When opening up the cooler and plastic bag with truffles in them this wonderful unique flavor hits my sense of smell that just excited me to taste, use, and infuse them. Immediately tried a sliver and suck on it in back of tongue and the flavor just danced up my sense of smell!!! Put on eggs, pizza, pasta, soup, and so much more it gave my food this extra unique wonderful flavor. Infused in salt, butter, and olive oil. The best were the olive oil and butter!!! Gave some orders for XMAS to my son who is a chef and daughter cross country who both enjoyed them very much. It was truly a gift that we all shared and will have a lasting memory!! My son made a wonderful charcuterie plate with cheese and meat and truffles that was out of this world. Yes they are expensive but just like trying Don Perignon champage or Johnny Walker Blue whiskey , it was worth the experience to try at least once in a life time. Thank You Taste of Truffles!!!!
