The smell is a large turn off for me. The butter is thick and creamy. But I just can't get past the smell of the butter.

Body butter kit
I have a small skincare business, and I love this company’s products. I’m local to this company and they have me this kit for free after a mix-up with an order of mango butter. This is a small, family owned company, and they are far from scammers, as one review stated. I’ve met these folks and used their oils and butters for the last couple years, and I’m very happy with everything. Their rosehip seed oil is one of the best I’ve tried, and I’ve tried dozens of brands looking for the best quality and price I could find. These oils are unrefined & pure, so yes, they have the characteristic smells that come with it. Castor oil, to me, smells like cooking oil no matter what brand it is. Rosehip seed is darkish yellow and very woody smelling, but not unpleasant. The ultimate body butter blend is my default butter in all of my butters, and I just recently started using it in soaps and it’s lovely. These oils and butters do have characteristic odors because they are unrefined. They’re supposed to have a specific smell. This kit has everything you need to make a pretty large amount of very simple, moisturizing body butter (or lip balm). If you need a little help, a simple recipe for body butter is: 75% butters, 19% carrier oils of your choice (NOT ESSENTIAL OILS!!!), 5% arrowroot powder (not in kit, but cheap to buy and helps with greasiness), 1% fragrance/EO. You can also leave out the arrorroot if you want and just increase the butters or carrier oils 5% to keep the formula at 100. Melt everything together EXCEPT the fragrance/EO, that should be added after cool down during whipping. After it’s melted and mixed, stick it in the freezer until the top has formed a skin and there’s very little product left liquified, but don’t freeze it solid.Add your fragrance/EO at this point (under 104 degrees). Whip with hand mixer until desired fluffiness is achieved. It makes a really lovely, thick, emollient body butter. Hope this helps anyone who was a little lost without instructions. This kit is well worth the price if you look at the types of oils and the fact that they’re unrefined. The butters I make with this company’s products are always a fast seller, will continue using them! Five star product and company!

all oils smell like castor oil
even the sweet almond oil has no smell. the fragrances are okay ish but overpowering and does not mix well with the chocolate smelling brick. plus there's no optephen or stabilizers to make the product last.

DO NOT GET
It's not even a full kit.. checked out their "website" as well for the rest of the supplies, it's pointless. Incredibly misleading, no directions to DO ANYTHING. Scam.
