Is the bag with tools a different color than the bag without as shown in the pictures? If so can the bag with tools be purchased on its own?

Yes. The bag with tools is a different color than the bag without tools. And If you just purchase the bag only, you will get the color I got, the one pictured with the grey-olive with brown trim

Will this bag fit 16" long tools?

I do travel with two 15" bar spoons and the bag is able to accommodate, meaning it does not have slots or spots for those length of tools, but it can make it work. I place the two bar spoons between the shaker pouch and the open mesh (zippered) compartment that is good for storing small spoons, straws, etc. So, this bag can fit 16" spoons as long as you store them between those two mentioned sections.

Gets the job done...with some good looks

I am a bartender at a lake resort during the summers and I always bring my own tools because I do not like the style or quality of the tools provided by the lake resort (cobbler shaker, cheap jiggers, poor excuse for bar spoons, etc.). I always carried my tools in a back pack and while it got the job done, it was not the post practical or safest method for my tools. So I looked at bar roll bags and came across this because of the good quality and the inclusion of a separate zippered compartment for my bar spoons and metal straws. I love how durable this bag is and the quality of materials such as the leather straps and buckles. It is very spacious and i am able to store my bar tools safely and organized. Overall, highly recommend if you are in need of a new bag for bar tools.

Robust, tidy and attractive way to 'bring the party' wherever you are going!

A very well designed product with solid construction and well organized compartments to store all the accouterments for cocktail creation. We used to use a crate to pack and carry all the gear - and looked just short of 'a homeless person with a serious commitment to alcohol.' Now we look sleek and professional - much closer to the image we are trying to project!!.

nice bag but showed up looking almost used?

I kept it because I didn't feel like going through the pain of returning or exchanging but upon opening it was kind of beat up looking.Otherwise it holds quite a bit of tools and I use it daily and it's kept up well.
