Great price
I bought many of these to save $ from my local hardware store. Only 1 came with a cracked screen which is more a shipping issue. They installed easier then a similar brand & costed less so I'm very pleased and I have told other remodeling their homes to buy them.

Not sure what everyone's complaining about...
I feel like I received a different product based on the reviews. I purchased on 02/18/13 so maybe they provide better packaging now?The product is superb. It is very sturdy, the plastic is also pretty thick... don't know how this could've cracked during transit because they are protected inside the metal housing. It was also inside a double wall thick packaging, plus there's an outer box from Amazon. So it's in a metal housing, then the product box, then thick bubble wrap all around, then the Amazon shipping box. For 20 dollars this is a deal.I mean you get it as pictured, it's not very fancy and actually nicer than most out there.I think the bad reviews must be very old reviews or they're from a competitor.Buy it! Don't listen to the reviews because you'll waste time browsing for other ones for hours and you'll end up buying this one anyway... seriously.UPDATE: 11/07/13bought another one, this one arrived perfectly as well.

Good value for the price
I ordered this based on the one good customer review. The item itself is comparable to other low-cost non-commercial fluorescent fixtures; I don't think some of the other reviewers realize how lightly-built these are. The bulb holders were actually better quality than some I've seen.Amazon's packaging is another story. I ordered four; three shipped individually in their retail box to which Amazon added a single layer of 1/4 inch bubble wrap and no outer box. Needless to say, each took some damage: a one-inch crack in a diffuser, a minor bend in the entire fixture, and a minor chip in a corner of a diffuser. The fourth one arrived in an Amazon box with another item and an inadequate amount of brown paper wadding, however this one was perfect. I straightened the bend and got a $10 credit from Amazon on the cracked diffuser which I can fix with styrene glue, as this is simpler than dealing with a return.I tested all four fixtures, and they all work fine. The ballast is EnergyStar rated and operates down to 0 F (it says, haven't tested). For the price, these are good value if packed well. If you buy at a big box store, open and inspect each one before paying. Note that these are designed for mounting directly to a flush ceiling box, a little creativity is required otherwise.

Light Lite- It's Bright!
Liked it. Lens could be a bit sturdier but ok. I used this with LED lamps and had nothing but enjoyment at the amount of light. It is in kitchen area about 9 foot high.

It works, but has its quirks.
I bought these when we purchased a new house and found the lighting to be inadequate for my tastes. Specifically, I purchased 3 of these. One go to in the basement "workshop" area, and two to go in the garage. The packaging on these are very cheap, and the shipping from Amazon doesn't seem to protect them all to well...of the three that I bought, one of them had the cover completely shattered (and I mean completely), and the other one had a few chips out of it, but it was too much hassle to wait and send it back and get a new one, so I just dealt with it on that one. The third one seemed to be okay.I used LED bulbs with these in an effort to be more efficient, and to work better in the cold (Iowa winter nights are blisteringly cold). With that being said, I immediately cut out the ballasts and tossed them. The way that the ballasts are wired with the bulbs though means you cannot then directly wire the bulbs to the house wiring/etc. Instead, you have to rewire the entire fixture (at least one half of it, depending on how you cut the wires from the ballast), but either way, it's the only light I've converted to LED from ballast-driven that I've had to do this with. The last gripe I had was with the way the wiring entered the fixture..there is simply a hole and a plate, which I'm surprised that it's up to code...I'm not an expert, but I'd have expected an industry standard hole size in which to fit a grommet or something of the like, but nothing like that here.Overall, it works as it should, and for that reason I give it three stars. It is cheap, does the job, but isn't the most well executed product I've seen...there is definitely room for improvement.

Great price basic item
Many bad marks for this light. Read the directions.... It is ultra cheap so dont expect fancy bells and whistles. It is fairly easy to install but you MUST read the directions. It suited my purpose, my gfci outlet isnt blowing anymore and kid and girlfriend are both happy so I'm happy and life is peaceful once again...

Lense fitment problems
Install went well enough. I put this in a cargo trailer that just sits on my property. The lens is very fragile and doesn't want to stay up even when inserted correctly it still falls down on its own. The trailer sits still and every other time I go in there the lense is on the floor cracked more and more each time to the point now is unusable.

They are perfect. Work as described. Have them in my food truck and they are super bright!

Lithonia T8 24” fluorescent light fixture
Almost exact replacement for previous kitchen light fixture; hoping it is just a bad ballast on the old fixture and this new, replacement fixture does the trick! If not, I will be contacting an electrician to check the wiring!

Worth the money !
The light installs with no issue, works well, and was not really expensive. The only part of the design I don't like is that you actually have to bend one metal end out a bit to remove the plastic cover for cleaning or bulb replacement.

Longueur inappropriée
Ce n'est pas la bonne longueur

Tout est conforme mais je trouve un peu petit. Mais c’est un excellent produit 😊
