Yes, good on leather upholstery.

Q: Can this be used on suade chaps?

No, not on suede. Only finished leather.

Q: can I use this on soft sole, distressed leather moccasins. followed with neatsfoot

I would use the saddle soap to clean them and forget the neatsfoot. If you have to use oil, use olive oil. Better yet, use Pecards leather dressing. Hope this helps. Happy New Year!!

Q: How do you store it between uses? I figure a wet bar of soap is going to be messy.

Actually, you use very little water in a well rung out sponge, just enough to get good suds in the sponge to clean the leather with, then buff with a dry cloth to remove any remaining dirt and provide a sheen. I just wrap my bar in some plastic wrap between uses.
